If PCs acquire a night hag's heartstone, they obviously can't use it to become ethereal (only the hag can do that), but as far as I can tell its cure disease function would work. Opinions on how many times? Looks like it had 10 uses in 3.5e, but 5e doesn't say.
Also, what level does it count as? I have people who are suffering from aboleth slime, which can't be cured by spells that remove disease (requires Heal or another level 6+ spell that removes disease), but the heartstone isn't a spell.
I would say that a night hag’s heartstone can cure the effect described in the aboleth’s Tentacle attack if less than a minute has passed, as it describes “any” magic, not specifically stating a spell, but if more than a minute has passed, the hag in question (at least I would say) must be part of a coven for the heartstone to work.
P.S. If no limit is stated, then there is none, unless you decide otherwise.
