I've found decent resources for one-shots, but does anyone have any good recommendations for sources of standalone encounters? Literally just micro-stories that don't need any hook or have any consequences? Combat, social, exploration, puzzles, anything is fine. I'm planning on running a couple of travel montage sessions. Instead of me just monologuing description at the players for four hours, I'd rather have them experiences the locales they're traveling through via some little encounters that I can re-skin for my world.

Mike’s seem closer to what I’m looking for. The dndbeyond ones are closer to full one-shots from what I saw, with a quest-giver and some investigation necessary. I can’t complain about extra free content, though.
To be clear, I don’t mind paying, though.

Go to dmsguild and look up ‘mike’s free encounters’....he has around 60 or something now- he also posts them in batches of 10.
