I am currently running a campaign in which a Ranger is secretly a werewolf. I need some advice on how to run that. What I am currently doing is anytime he fights he rolls an Intelligence saving throw so that his wolfish instincts dont kick in. The DC steadily gets higher the closer it gets to the full moon. and once it's after the full moon it drops back down. As of fighting he done any fights in Hybrid form YET. But he intends too. Being a werewolf is a massive part of his backstory so he is waiting to gain control of his powers.
The major thing to consider is what happens during the full moon itself. According to one of the sourcebooks, probably the DMG or PHB, I don't remember at the moment, the DM takes full control over the character on that night.
