Asking for help on creating a magic item I have taken the top portion of the discription from The White Plume Mountain in the room with the globe. I am asking for any input on wording or modifications. Below is The Ring of Greed
The Ring of Greed:
The ring says to all creatures within the present room in was found in once picked up and creatures hear.
“Stop before you put me on. I confer the following powers upon my wearer: invisibility, haste, immunity to charms, fly once per day, detect magic, and one wish. I also provide the benefits of protection and spell turning. The only drawback is that once a year I permanently eat a small part of your life. I must be worn before I can leave this room; merely carrying me away is not possible. If ever I am removed from my wearer’s finger, however, all my powers are lost. So you must decide right now who will wear me forever.”
Someone who puts it on can cause it to exhibit any of the powers mentioned above, except for the wish spell, as long as it remains in the room. While it is located here, the ring enables the wearer to produce the indicated spell effects at will (except for fly), and it also acts as a ring of spell turning and a ring of protection.
Once the ring leaves the area (room it was found in) , however, it has no abilities and can’t talk Until attuned. if the spell identify is cast upon the ring while inside the room it was found, everything the ring says is true and it does have all properties . If identified outside of the original room and not on someone’s finger it resists the spell and only gives off a magical aura until attuned.
After attuning to the ring you have advantage to perception checks and Investigations check for finding coin and magic items only. If however the creature who is wearing the ring finds the treasure they will split it but will try to take it back at a later time or insist on keeping all of it to split later in which when splitting later will try to give up as little as possible as the curse of the greed takes hold.
for week 1: attuned creature will split gold and treasure but will try to maintain it without seeming to greedy.
Week 2: Attuned creature will insist on splitting treasure and coins that they found at a later date and assist on moving forward with the task at hand and not splitting or identifying the items found.
Week 3: Attuned creature will now refuse to share or split any treasure that it has found.
Week 4: Attuned creature will start getting jealous of what other creatures have.

Cool! Are you prepared for the resistance your players will exhibit due to just straight-up arsyness?
Enjoy my magic items, spells, monsters, my race, and a few feats. And GIVE ME FEEDBACK... or else.
Like what I say?
