The age of OGL is over. The Time of the ORC has come!
The moment that WotC declares OGL 1.0a "de-authorized", "revoked" or any such nonsense is the moment I release as much content as possible under OGL 1.0a and say, "Sue me WotC". OGL1.0a cannot be revoked. If thousands of us do it, the countersuit will be a class action suit.
That looks nice. Campaign Cartographer was the best around when I started. I knew there had to be a lot more more choices today than when I started.

I used Dungeon Painter studio for a few years, exclusively for battle maps. Then I discovered Dungeondraft and it's my main software for anything smaller than a city. For city maps, I use Incarnate (please let me know if you've got anything else for cities because I'm not 100% satisfied with Incarnate). For world maps I've got Wonderdraft (very satisfied with it) and sometimes i use Inkarnate. This set of software fullfils my need almost completely, however I've never tried anything else. Oh, and I've got Dungeon Alchemist too, but still can't find out a usecase for maps from this one.
In terms of assets for Dungeondraft, I prefer Forgotten Adventures because their library is quite universal and it's constantly expanding and has an integration. 99% of my maps are created with FA. Also, I have two premium Wonderdraft packs because I liked city pictures. I should mention that for Wonderdraft/Dungeondraft you can also download custom assets created by users for free. Not sure about Venatus Maps/Tom Cartos assets in scope of Underdark, but I've tried some of their assets as well (although i don't remember exactly what I downloaded).
I got a Lenovo 2-in-1 this year, with map work being something I was excited to try my hand at. Then Humble had that Campaign Cartographer bundle a while back. Haven't gotten a whole of experience in with it, but I'm excited to change that.
That said, a buddy bought in to Dungeondraft, and I was impressed with his battle map generation. Grabbed it and a Forgotten Adventures Patreon sub for its assets+DD integration. Really neat stuff for rapid dungeon drawing, but I'm admittedly more enthused about working in CC3+ overall. The features and history of it are really neat. Buying in at Humble costs was a no-brainer for me.
I use Campaign Cartographer and have done so for more than 20 years. Recently upgraded to Campaign Cartographer 3+.
Does anybody else use this. Do you use software for mapmaking and if so, what do you use?

I use hexographer for continents. Although I did create my world in Adobe after using getpaint.net
I also use Dungeondraft for encounter maps and slightly larger maps, but it has been crashing a lot recently so save frequently.
I was using incarnate for large maps too, but will probably go for wonderdraft because its a license rather than a monthly fee.
