It is always been confusing when it comes to selecting a dress for cosplay parties. I personally like and recommend Japanese cultural costumes. The reason is that they are easily available and very likely to be considered the best choice for the cosplay party. I have been in Japan a year ago and I did attend cosplays parties there. Their dresses were unique, especially with Japanese traditional kabuki masks. So, it can be a good idea to arrange a cosplay party on a theme of Japanese tradition.
I'm not sure this qualifies as "cosplay," or as inpsired by my character, but my Halloween costume this year was inspired by the Player's Handbook. I was looking at the armors listed and saw that there was chain mail, scale mail, and plate mail, and realized they all fall under the category of "mail armor." So I crafted a set of mail armor out of actual pieces of mail. And I figured the only weapon to go along with that armor was a bow.

I wanted a plain red bow, but surprisingly, before Halloween, large Christmas bows are somewhat hard to find, so I had to take what I could get. Now, of course, I can probably find any color under the sun.

I'm guessing that your chosen class is Dad, right?
Dad is not a class, it is a state of mind that transcends classes.

Ok, so I’m working on the costume for my tiefling character, but have no idea what to do for the horns. My hair’s really short so most headbands wouldn’t look right. If anyone has any suggestions/advice, I’d really appreciate it! I’m planning on using something light (air-dry clay or foam), because I don’t have a lot to work with. Also need a place to buy the ears, preferably for less than $20 USD.

This is awesome! Did you make everything yourselves?
