Looking for some tips and tricks how to track your NPCs because it cant be done via app (or can be?)
So far im using just google docs where i have list sorted in cathegories together with some descriptions and link (spells and so) + im adding keywords like name of location...
Its usable but mostly because i actually remeber NPCs names.
But as my homebrew campaign progress im quite sure i will lost track.
+ is possible to find my homebrew monsters in app itself (its ok in browser, but in app it looks like this option is missing)?
I tend to track them using pen & paper, for the most part. I am starting to use Obsidian, which is a free note-taking software, which is realy good for showing links between your notes. I also just take notes on Homebrewery as that's where I write all my adventures!

If you're using google docs (or Excel, for example)... name the tabs at the bottom the names of the cities, towns, etc.
Then within there create a row for: Name, Race, (Class, if applicable), and Note (for how they interacted with the party)
For myself, I have a website where I keep my notes (accessible by my players) - and have an entire section for NPCs, places, etc., on the site. Lots of work, but helps me remain consistent.
I keep a google doc of dramatis personae, just like a play, with a short note about each person. This for NPCs that don't need sheets - the vast majority. I'd write them down as I go. Also keep a list of short "typical" names for when you need one on the fly. More important NPCs with sheets got appended to the end. I used to just jot them down in a notebook, but my handwriting is atrocious.
The solution here is world Anvil, or kanka.io. I used Kanka first, but I understand they run very similarly. Kanka allows me to create locations then add in the characters for that location. Similarly I can tie in quests, results and problems based on location or person. Very handy in a weekly game. Kanka's free tier has been sufficient, But I will purchasing add free late next week. Now these online platforms are only as good as long as they are around.
Notion is another well documented way to track campaign stuff. But I have no experience here.

NPC season again? I generally use survival tracking. Some times I use a baited field like a four pack of toilet paper or a pack of Nerds candy. What is the catch limit this year?
i personally just have a big note book and write everything down in it and use the small post it notes to keep track of everything and i have not had a problem yet
Personally, unless they are plot critical, I don't track them. I just make up a name and go with it. If the characters return later to the same location, just make up a different name. NPCs have lives and take days off too.
In the campaign notes, i keep most of the npc names with short hints for myself to jug the memory.
The players i encourage to put NPC names on their character sheet under notes or under allies or foes. So they dont have to ask me what that ones name was. Makes for a more seamless game play.
I use OneNote then i i take all of those pages and import them into MS Publisher where i paginate things and then produce a pdf that can live on one of my tablets
I know this is a pretty old thread but I figured something out with my current campaign. I'm using the Atlassian product Confluence on the Free Tier and its just amazing for organizing and running your adventure. I've been DMing since the late 1970s so I've gone through some changes in how I approach DMing over the years. The combination of the digital content on DnD Beyond coupled with the rich content and excellent user interface of Confluence gives me a complete solution. I can arrange information as I want to use it during the campaign. Everything can be linked. I pre write a lot of dialogue for myself so that I have something to reference during encounters to keep thing snappy. The highlighted information boxes are great for this. The navigation pane allows you to jump seamlessly between anything you need. Fumble Tables...click. NPC Stat Block...click. I really try to not be too "behind my monitor" when I'm running a game. This method of organization really helps me to be in the moment with my players. Hope this helps someone.

I didn’t see what you did there.
I use Roll20 so I just create a handout for them that only I can see. For an in person game I would just use 3"x5" note cards.
