So to start this is for a All bard campaign that i wrote called Bard Quest and i made some npcs but in today's session i found out that the stat blocks are all wrong cause they have stats that dont exist?
Like we got in the first battle of the game and i went to use a npc to fight along side them but his spell didnt exist in 5e.
all the important npc's are bards or multiclassed bards cause well "bard quest" and in the "monster maker" on here there's no option for bard or having them be multiclassed, would it be easier to approach it how you would a PC?
I used the monster maker on here for some bandits for them to fight which worked for that but like i'm still kinda not too sure how to properly use it
As a general rule, I usually create important NPCs (allies and foes) as you would a PC, makes the creation easier and to a degree more useful/dangerous NPCs.
On the other hand, the Monster builder here is pretty well made, and you can maybe take advantage of the fact that you can start from an already existing monster and just change around the few things you feel need changing.
Out of curiosity, in what system did you create your current versions of the NPCs? Maybe we can still "save" what you have done with little adjustments

If you have access to the Volo's Guide to Everything, there is a monster stat-block for a Bard. The Tomb of Annihilation book also has a stat-block for a Tabaxi Minstrel. Using either of those as a base for a monster stat-block that you can add to would be a good start.

i have no clue what system they're on tbh? it was forever ago that i made them but like it had things like "reflex" and i didnt notice that when i was making them
i think i had put them together in the middle of the night with a generator and i dont remember what generator it was and there's some symbols that say if it's a spell they can use once or if it's a cantrip but eh
i'm def gonna make the cannon fodder npc's on here using the monster maker and i'll probably make the important npc's like i would a pc like you suggested it will just be easier since a few of them are multiclassed (the campaign is set in a kingdom founded by bards so they're either bards or bard+something)

Sounds like they might be done with a 4th edition generator.
If you have time, maybe have a look here in the official conversion guide, it might help with the import to 5ed.
