I'm going to start my players on phandelver. Is there a natural ending point with the characters at level 3? At level 3 I want my players to decide if they want to continue with Phandelvor, have the Witchlight Carnival come to town, or be taken by the mists of Barovia. I just want to make sure there's a reasonable place to end the phandolin quest line that early.
If you set up the Redbrands more as the villains and remove the foreshadowing for later parts, you should be good. It will just be extremely short. You'll need to add a few more encounters with the Redbrands.

Thanks. I'm also considering Gundren being a prisoner of Glassstaff and not having The Spider be mentioned at all.
