Davyd -- Let's say I find an interesting mini, name on it's pedestal reads "Bugbear Flesh Glutton". I want to use it in my 2024 5e campaign. So I look online and I find its stat block from an entirely different game - not D&D. So I need a way to get this monster prep'ed for play. With everything that a 2024 5e DM has to do to run a sand-boxy homebrew week after week -- they got ZERO time for play testing. So you can imagine my dilema. Your advice is well reasoned - thank you for adding your perspective. But I am no closer to figuriing out how to calculate XP for a stat block. Thanks for reading.
In this specific case, you'd be best served finding an existing monster of an appropriate CR and reskinning it for the mini.
As for how to calculate XP, look at it's CR. That determine XP as has been mentioned multiple times at this point, including in my post breaking down the guidelines for calculating ballpark CR.

Ignore the online stat block, other than as inspiration. Stat blocks from other games are mostly not convertable.
Decide what CR you want the monster to be.
Try to find a similar monster. You can generally reflavor a monster's attacks, or swap them for a different set of attacks with the same overall DPR, with no change in CR.
