So I've been GM for a bit and i want to know some way to make it more exiting and more enjoyable for every one. What are some good story ideas and or GMing tips.
Not to be a jerk, but you asked a couple of really vague questions.
Do you think your gaming sessions have not been exciting or enjoyable for you and your players? if so, why?
What is your game world like? What stories have you already told in your game world?
It's hard to help without a good bit more detail.

"An' things ha' come to a pretty pass, ye ken, if people are going to leave stuff like that aroound where innocent people could accidentally smash the door doon and lever the bars aside and take the big chain off'f the cupboard and pick the lock and drink it!"
If you think back to your last session you can probably come up with times in the session where you didnt know a rule, or it seemed like the game was moving really slowly for a few minutes, or you didnt know a rule and had to look it up, etc. A lot of improving (both as a GM, player, in other games, and even in life) is just finding smaller things you think you could easily improve, and then doing so repeatedly. After a while, your skills as a DM will improve a lot. This isn't exactly a 'become Matt Mercer overnight!' kind of tip, but it i ssomething that pretty much gaurantees steady improvement in a particular aspect you want to improve at.
As for ideas / tips itself... really depends on what kind of game you want to run. I think no matter what kind of themes you are playing on, or even what TTRPG, finding tools like Initiative trackers, random encounter generators, etc. can make it a lot easier for you to run or prepare games.
