Does anyone use or recommend any apps for managing your campaign. I'm thinking in terms of both the writing the adventures (maps, encounters, story) as well as keeping notes of how each session unfolded, party inventory, etc ?
I use World Anvil for a lot of things, though it takes a lot of care and thought, and primarily I use it for items I want to share with the players.
I use OneNote and Excel for lots of other things. OneNote just to keep generic notes or jot down ideas or keep keys of dungeon maps. Excel especially if I need to do any math figuring. For instance I use the milestone system giving easy XP values to a minor milestone and hard XP for a major one. I have set up a spreadsheet for each milestone and I can just tell it what level they were and Excel will tell me how much XP they get for, say, deposing the local magistrate.

WOTC lies. We know that WOTC lies. WOTC knows that we know that WOTC lies. We know that WOTC knows that we know that WOTC lies. And still they lie.
Because of the above (a paraphrase from Orwell) I no longer post to the forums -- PM me if you need help or anything.
For mapmaking, I use Wonderdraft and Dungeondraft.
For planning out adventures, I either write stuff down in my notebook by hand or sometimes write stuff down on a google drive. Recently I used GMBinder.com to plan out a dungeon, which worked out pretty nicely. I like to use it to plan oneshots and some other stuff, it's quite nice.
For keeping notes, I use a separate notebook that I track each session in, as well as record rolls and enemy HP and stuff. For party inventory, I strongly encourage a DM to make sure their party is managing their own inventory - we don't need to do that for them to be honest. I use roll20 as my tabletop and I have a handout on there that they can all edit for party inventory, but they've taken to tracking their bag of holding in a google doc which works just as well, since I have it pinned in my discord server for them.
I also use roll20 for tracking NPCs via tables (with rank, name, gender, age, race, bullet point notes, etc).
I have ALL OF THE GOOGLE DOCS! SO many folders, so many documents...
I am looking for a more organized system, but honestly what I like about Google Docs is how easy it is to use and access on any device, anywhere. What I loose in custom D&D framework I gain in being able to access and update easily at all times.
One of these days when I have a few minutes to spare, I'm going to try out a bunch of different options!

https://tetra-cube.com/dnd/dnd-statblock.html I use for making monsters, it's slightly easier than DnD Beyond.
I also use Google Docs

Find me on Twitter: @OboeLauren
I use google docs too. Just put all your campaign stuff in a folder, inside that folder put one DM folder and one Player folder.
