Hi all Im planning on playing a War Wizard and will use the spell Mage armor. As it is right now you cant raise your base ac to 13 when you cast the spell. I try to create an homebrew item that can give me the right ac. The problem that i have is that my character have 16 in dex so that gives a +3 to ac. So with Mage armor he will have ac 16. My problem is that cloth is not a viable armor. If i create a chainmail its medium armor and its max +2 in dex. Should work with leather, but when i add it to my character it gives 14 instead of 16 in ac. Anybody that found a solution?

I'm not stupid. I'm just unlucky when I'm thinking.
I'm not sure I understand your question. To be clear though, Mage Armor does not create a set of armor for you to wear that can be found in the book, it simply raises your AC magically. If your question is "what armor do I need to choose for mage armor to work? ", then the answer is that you don't need to choose. If that's not your question, then I'm afraid I don't understand what you are asking.

I know what you're thinking: "In that flurry of blows, did he use all his ki points, or save one?" Well, are ya feeling lucky, punk?
As it is right now it doesnt raise your ac when casting the spell on the character sheet. You have to add something to get the 13 base as an item. So i have tried to create a item/armor that i can equip to simulate the effect of Mage armor.

I think the easiest thing to do would be to add a +3 as "Additional Magic Bonus" by clicking on the AC value in your digital sheet. It would be just one more click than wearing a homebrew item.
Another option is create a ring or amulet or other non-armor item that gives you a +3 to AC.
The old workaround was to homebrew a copy of elven chain and change it to studded leather. Now, you can just click on your AC on your character sheet, click on "Customize," and set your AC override.
