Honestly, we all know that both Favored Enemy and Favored Foe kinda suck as 1st level abilities.
I think there is an easy fix though. Just merge the two of them together. Trait would probably still be called Favored Enemy, and you would get all the benefits you get from it already. In addition however, while fighting a creature of your favored type, on a hit you deal extra damage. You would have to see of you make that a fix amount of damage (D4) you get to add to every attack against that type of creature, or if you only get to apply it to the first attack that hits it on your turn, but the damage scales with level (like Favored Foe does).
I'm probably not the first person to think of this, because this seems like a no-brainer.
What's your guys' thoughts?
