I am making a Homebrew race that is a Human subrace called Curse of The Gorgon (like Greek lore). One of the Race Traits is Serpent's Tail and I wanted a Bonus Action to be Constrict. Basically, if a creature is grappled, the player can squeeze the creature. The creature has to make a Con. save and takes 1d12 on fail. I have everything working correctly except that I can't get rid of the roll to-hit part.
Is there a way just make the Bonus Action roll for damage and not have the to-hit part on the character sheet?
The actions can be a bit fiddly when it comes to getting them to present the way you want.
It sounds like your problem is that you've probably set it as a melee or ranged attack, just leave that drop down empty, and if it won't let you, set the action to general instead of a weapon. If you still want to set the range to melee range (5 feet) then you want to set the range later towards the end.
Make sure to set the correct save type and difficulty, and it should now hopefully show your attack with a 5 foot range, a DEX save with correct DC, and then any other notes you added, though remember it can take up to 20 minutes after saving your race before it will update for your character sheet.
