I like the idea, like the zealot barb's once per turn damage bonus, cleric's divine strike, or a boost like the cap of the swords bard. I'd have to see more on how you'd implement it because the devil is in the details, especially when adding something that boost them as much as this would.
Basically I would just allow one arcane shot per turn (no multiples unless an action surge was used they are so infrequent I don't think it's a big deal).
~No limit on number of shots.
~All shots have to hit like normal (decide to use it before you roll, hit or miss the shit is still used)
So basically unlimited arcane shots but only one at a time.

Looking over the arcane archer I have concluded (like lots of others) its too weak and more importantly not fun.
I was thinking of allowing it unlimited arcane shots per day but only one per round and that you decide what you are firing before you hit not after.
What do you guys think?
