It's a neat idea, but I'm struggling to come up with situations where I would actually use it. It has to be an AoE concentration spell that is movable or reusable... so... like Call Lightning? or Moonbeam? Are there any others that would fit these requirements?
If I've worded it right, it can be a summon spell, IE take control of a summoned elemental!
If not, that was the intent - basically anything that's there, rather than just an effect. Hard to word that in D&Dish!
It is unclear to me that it would work that way at all, because a summoned creature is a CREATURE and you've made it explicitly not apply to spells that target a creature. It's also super unclear if it could apply to something like: Spiritual Guardians or Aura of Vitality - does this target a creature or an area? If you took control of it does the area shift to be around you or does it say around the original caster?
PS Dominate Creature / Dominate Person already allow you to take control of a summoned creature.
Morning all,
Had a brainwave today and had to note it down, throwing it out there for feedback!
the Seize Control spell, for when someone has a spell on the go that you just have to have!
-edited for wording, and to stop it being more potent than a dispel magic upcast to 4th level!
