"Because he's a greedy little brat who doesn't even have the patience to wait for me to die naturally. Is that a good enough explanation for you?"

Veska shrugs. "Not much, but I suppose it is moderately sufficient. Where can he be found?"

Standing at the back of the group, Greydon would reach back and rub the back of their head. They'd be killing her heir and it made their mind wonder who would then take her place when she does naturally go? Their mouth would open, then they'd pause themselves and close it. Truly, those matters weren't really their business, unless of course the son becomes the difference between the groups 'life' and 'death'. In other words, their way out. Greydon would ponder the truth behind the queens words for that purpose. Otherwise they'd nod their head, turn and gesture to escort the group to the Prince's study.

"There's honest truth in her words." Greyson would assure the others. They'd extend their elbow(s) out continue their offer to escort anyone along their next path.

Morticia was taken aback at the queen's request of slaying her son. Maybe they would found out more when they got there to understand what she means by not having the patience for her to pass naturally? It didn't really settle well in her stomach, but... if it was a way to get out of here...

Hearing Greydon's confirmation of her truthfulness, she gives a small breath and heads out, passing on Greydon's escorting offer with a sheepish smile that only returns to a thinned frown.

Area C9

Once an elegant study, this room has floor-to-ceiling bookshelves along the walls, a pair of heavy desks, and several overstuffed chairs. Most of the books have been shredded, their pages and covers forming small nests. The chairs have all been sliced open, their stuffing removed and likewise fashioned into small nests. An unsteady chair made of stacked books stands atop the larger of the room’s two desks. Loose teeth are piled on the shelves, affixed to the ceiling, and heaped on the floors in strange, spiky patterns. The only exit from this room is a door leading south.

Sitting on the chair of stacked books is a gangly looking tooth fairy with a crown of teeth, a tooth earring, and some terrible facial hair. Judging from the fact that he appears to be holding court with some other tooth fairies, you assume that this is Prince Uspid.

Corinne steps forward, “Excuse me, lord. Are you prince Uspid?” She performs a customary curtsie.

"I am Prince Uspid. What brings you to my chambers?" He says in an annoying, nasally voice.

The dhampir smiles a toothy and warm grin, “Your mother sent us. Now, why would she do that?”

In response to that, Prince Uspid screams loudly and commands the other tooth fairies in the room to help him fight you off.

"Hey! Thaths my favourite one!" Greydon lisps in surprise. It was time to swat some flies. They hang onto their scythe for this round, swinging it where a toothfairy could be found.

Then with a follow up flourish, the paladin would slam the hilt of their weapon against a hard surface. When the sound would ring and reverberate through the air, it'd blanket Shi in a shimmering shield of protection.
