“A deal is a deal- Uguk lost to our heroic Gnome, he’s the laughing-stock of Gruumsh right now. The halflings are ours- touch them or the elf and you will join your weak friend in death.” Arisa says, menacingly as she advances again on the Orc.
Zyllith didn't bother to wait for the orc's response, as soon as she saw him turn to face Elion she was already rushing towards him. Now that the orc's gaze was no longer on her, she would take full advantage of Elion's distraction for a change. Lining up against the orc on the other side of Elion, she stuck forward with her rapier, aiming for a weak spot.
In a confusion of simultaneous events, Belkas starts to cheer as the enormous orc falls to Vernon's hammer, and whirls around when he hears Elion shout 'Run!' He sees Arisa try to convince the last surviving orc, while Zyllith launches herself at its back.
In this confusion of conflicting events, he reacts slowly to the imminent conflict.
I'll still run this by initiative order. With all the commotion of the duel, everyone shouting at the other orc and Elion trying to free the prisoners, it's feasible that anyone could have been looking one way or the other when this went down. Also, the radius of everyone's everyone's current placement is not exceptionally large. Elion and a couple of the halflings are still pretty within 20 feet of the orc, so it's possible that a sleep spell would get diluted in that crowd.

Elion freezes in fear as he lies at the feet of the orc. It's all he can do to bring his dagger up in a futile show of defense against the much larger, heavily armed opponent. The orc looks back and forth between him and his halfling prisoners, who are all now starting to flee. He starts yelling, fuming in anger and frustration, obviously knowing that he's now alone and outnumbered, but even still, he holds his axe at bay.
He then turns around to face the rest of you, still with his axe in a neutral position, and with a more calm voice, perhaps painted with resignation, he says,
"You win deal, defeat Uguk... prisoners belong you, and you let Gumbog paAAHHHHHH!!"
Acting on pure instinct, Zyllith unsheathes her rapier and begins dashing forward though the grass before the orc finishes turning back around. Reaching Gumbog in a few quick seconds, she drives the weapon deeply into his side just as he spits out his last words.
While her attack doesn't kill Gumbog, it impales him with a serious wound and leaves him bleeding profusely as his eyes register shock and surprise.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Arisa advances on him, and after a quiet prayer of guidance, says, menacingly as She Raises her staff at him- . “Drop…. your….Axe.” (Rolling with advantage since I suspect someone will count as helping)
Gumbog eyes Arisa with a cold glare when she advances, his right hand pressed hard against his wound. He grunts, with a painful and obviously frustrating exhale that blows out from between his lower fangs. He looks around at the rest of you and then drops his axe at his feet.
(Initiative order dismissed. Anyone can post now.)
Arisa walks to the Orc and knocks the axe out of the Orc’s reach, in Belkas’ direction using the end of her staff. Shield raised, ready with her staff for any sudden moves she says coldly “we made no guarantees of safe passage for you if he lost. (Nodding with her head at the dead Orc) You are wise to drop your weapon. Where are you from and where will you go now? What were you planning to do with these halflings? And -Why should we let you live?”
( to the halflings)
“You are safe now, with us. Come back and tell us your story. I am Arisa, Cleric of Mystra”.
Belkas raises his arms to blast the injured orc, then Arisa kicks its axe over. Belkas looks at her, at Vernon, and then at Elion, and with a snarl, lets the dark energy dissipate from his hands.
Belkas casts Suggestion (WIS 14) on the orc and says, "You will answer all our questions honestly."
When Elion shouted his command to flee, all of the halflings took off running through the grass as fast as their short legs would carry them. They were even more spurned on by Gumbog's loud flurry of orc swears as. At this point, they're all about 75-100 feet away from where they were being held prisoner, but when Arisa calls out for them, a few of them stop and look back, then call for their companions. They seem wary when they see that one of their captors still stands, but they turn and begin slowly walking back towards you. Elion stands up and motions for them to return as well.
Under the influence of Belkas's spell, Gumbog answers Arisa's questions.
"From camp in hills, one day walk toward sunrise. You let pass, I go there to my tribe. Half ones prisoners, we take for workers in camp. Cooking food for tribe members. Some for sport."
"Gumbog no have answer for why. I fight with strength and glory for Gruumsh. Orcs no make answers, gods and priests make answers for tribe. Cannot make answers for humans people."
Belkas glances up at the returning halflings and then returns his attention to the orc. He asks, "Grumbog, how many orcs are in the nearby camp, and how many in your tribe?"
Zyllith realized she might have jumped to action a little too quickly, but given that the orc had been trying to kill them all earlier - not to mention the fact they were slavers - she certainly didn't feel any remorse with her actions. Of course now that the orcs had disarmed themselves and were having a chat with the others, it would be rude to finish them off. So she kept her blade ready within striking distance of the orc in case, the situation changed once more, then she would definitely finish the job.
While the others continued their conversation with the orcs, she called out to the halflings some distance away in order to reassure them they were no longer in any danger, "S'arioght lads! Ye nea need fear these mutts nae longer. As tis plain ta' see, we got 'em well an' truly beat. Ye'll nae be hurt or taken by them ever again, or they'll die on tha' spot if they try anythin'."
Vernon is mulling over how much of his victory can be credited to Mielikki and how much to Flandal Steelskin. Considering that he didn't use magic from either, he is coming to the conclusion that Sir Edward Rogers' training when he joined the Knights of Myth Drannor was actually most useful here.
