Lifferlas continues to approach the giant on the left flank, and this time, Arisa manages to hit the giant directly in the chest with her fire bolt. This time, he certainly gets the creature's attention, and he pivots his body towards the huge awakened tree and the human passenger that's perched high within its canopy.
Meanwhile, the other three giants continue with their boulder assault as they huck huge rocks at the gate and at the top of the walls, trying to dispense with the archers who are firing arrows at them. One of the giant's manages to hit and kill one of the bowmen with a very well placed rock that sails in a high arc and slams into the top of the wall, very close to where Vernon is standing.
Behind the lines, the ogres send another volley of goblin missiles, one of which flies over the wall and kills a guard that's standing about 20 yards back from the gate. Another lands on and kills an archer on the wall, and the other four create harmless divots in the dirt inside the walls.
As the battle rages on, the archers respond with another volley of arrows, but only a few manage to sail true and hit the three giants who are not near Lifferlas.
Belkas casts another two Eldritch Blasts at the most damaged giant and drops down out of sight, and Crowley, now frustrated, makes another attempt at the harness.
It was clear that the straps situation was not improving, and they would be just wasting time at this point.
"Ach! Sod it!" Zyllith thought to herself. Let Balkas's minion continue to try with that mess, she would attempt something else. Zyllith pulls out her rapier and slashes at the creature catapulting the goblins; aiming at the tendon of the ogre in the hopes of bringing it down, even if she doesn't kill it right away. After which she pulls away quickly to avoid any counterattack as she tries to move behind some cover.
---
Rapier Attack trying to disable the ogre: 19+8 = 27 Damage: 11+17 = 28 Bonus Action to Disengage, then Move action to try to get behind as much cover as she can
As Arisa and Belksa continue to assault the hill giant with arcane attacks, it definitely begins to show signs of wearing down. Multiple bruises and scorch marks are now visible on its skin, as well as the numerous arrows that are sticking out of it, and the other three giants as well.
From her position, Zyllith switches tactics and delivers a devastating attack on one of the ogres before retreating and finding what cover she can in the open field, crouching down in a section of tall grass. While not fatal, her stab wound is severe, and the the creature lets out a roar of pain, while nearly buckling from the injury. The creature manages to stay on its feet, but it wobbles enough that the goblin spotter loses his own balance and falls from the ogre's back.
As Zyllith turns visible once again, the ogre turns with surprise and menace in his eyes, as he watches her dash away into the field. Turning his attention towards her, the ogre slowly lumbers over, with the catapult still attached to his back. He tires to look for her in the grass, but it seems as if he is unable to spot her. He continues to search, waving his huge limbs back and forth in wide swaths through the grass, just a few feet away from where Zyllith is hiding.
The other five ogres are too engrossed in their own process with battle to have even noticed these events.
Arisa's next fire bolt hits the giant right in the neck, which angers him even more. Now seeing where the fire is coming from, the giant rushes towards the awakened tree, and easily spotting her inside the canopy. Lashing out at her with his great club, the creature nearly stuns her with a devastating blow, easily reaching her from within her cover in the branches. (Attack 26, Damage 19). Her entire body reels from the force of the attack, but she remains conscious and is able to keep herself perched securely within the tree.
Lifferlas responds with two attacks of his own, battering ferociously at the giant with his massive boughs. The giant is surprised by the attack, apparently too stupid to realize the danger of the awakened tree. With sheer power, Lifferlas pummels the creature to death, slamming it to the ground with incredible force.
The giant's fall brings a huge round of cheers from everyone who's watching on top of the wall, and it's apparently enough to spur on the inspiration of the guards. You suddenly see the gates open, and an entire company of 20 spear-wielding guards rushes out of the gate and begins running towards the three remaining giants, the closest of which is about 120 feet away from you.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Arisa Fights off the pain and fear from the brutal hit, and manages to yell “Focus your attacks!”
She passes the tree her potion of greater healing- and says “nice blows Lifferlas! if I am knocked down, you can give me this- just pour it right down my throat. I’m hurt but I can still shoot fire. Let’s go get the next one..”
Belkas feels his connection with Zyllith's invisibility spell dissolve. Fearing that something has happened to her, he raises his head over the haystack in time to see her escape from the wounded ogre. He is about to cast another two Eldritch Blasts when Arisa and Lifferlas take down the first giant. With elation, he sends his two Blasts out at the next giant before dropping down out of sight.
Crowley, gripping the knife tightly in his tiny hands, dives for another try at the harness.
"Tha went better then I 'magined t'would." Zyllith thinks to herself, relieved that her efforts were rewarded by the simple fact that the ogre was no longer firing into the town. Better yet she managed to anger the creature enough that it separated from the rest of their group. This in turn meant the massive creature was now trying to kill her, but at this moment that was ideal. Trying to take on an entire army of giants and goblinoids all on her own was just plain suicide. But a one on one duel with an ogre was something she could definitely do.
Before her opponent could reach her to attack she made the first move. Running forward to face the ogre, she lashed out with lightning speed at the creature, then just as quickly took off, putting some distance between them before hiding behind cover.

Moving up to the ogre to attack.
Rapier Attack: 8+7 = 15 Damage: 11+11 = 22
Using the rest of her movement to get away from the ogre and behind any cover she can find. Then using her Bonus Action to Hide: Stealth: 2+11 = 13
Zyllith watches the ogre tromp around in the tall grass, ferociously trying to locate her. He's having no luck, though, which is a clear illustration of just how stupid and dim-witted these creatures are. Waiting for just the right moment, when the creature is facing away from her position, Zyllith leaps forward and drives her rapier into the ogre's back, before retreating once again and diving down into a new hiding place in the tall grass.
The ogre screams with a horrid cry of pain and anger and stumbles, clearly suffering greatly from the two deadly wounds. He turns back around and stomps forward, waving his huge arms through the grass in a feeble, and unsuccessful attempt to locate the trifling, with streams of blood pouring from its body.
Zyllith hears another voice, though... it seems as if the goblin spotter that was on the ogre's back has run over to investigate and see what it is that caused the ogre to leave his post and veer over in this direction. You're not sure if he can spot you or not, but he's approaching the ogre behind, while waving his scimitar around.
While all this is going on, Crowley continues to fly around the ogre at the other end of the line. Seeing an opportunity, he dives forward and successfully cuts through one of the shoulder straps, causing the entire catapult to shift as its thrown off balance on the ogres's back. The goblin captain atop his back suddenly finds himself fighting for his own balance atop the creature, and the goblin that was just loaded into the hucker falls out of the basket and drop to the ground.
The other four ogres fires their goblins, who sail through the air, high over the hill giants in front, before landing on the other side of the wall. One of the goblins hits and kills an archer in a catastrophic impact that sends stone fragments through the air in all directions. The other lands on the ground, hitting a villager, while the other two crater harmlessly, hitting no one.
On the front lines, Arisa fires arcane bolt at the second hill giant as Lifferlas advances forwards. Belkas also hits this second giant with two blasts of his own.
Meanwhile, the guards continue to advance with Vernon in tow, moving toward the giants as the archers keep their bow strings busy. It will take the ground troops one more round to reach combat position. However, three of them are obliterated by rocks, as the giants shift their focus towards the advancing spearmen.
Zyllith wasn't too concerned seeing the goblin approaching. If she could take out the ogre dealing with a lone remaining goblin wouldn't be a problem. With that in mind, however, she knew she had to move quickly before the goblin got too close. And thus she very much did so, rushing out of the brush towards the ogre in an instant before driving her rapier into the creature. Then just like before she slipped away before anyone could retaliate, finding another hiding spot to avoid being seen by the goblin's eyes.

Same as last round, hopefully this takes out the ogre.
Rapier Attack: 15+8 = 23 Damage: 9+10 = 19
Using her remaining movement to get into cover, this time closer to the goblin Using her bonus action to Hide: 2+11 = 13
With a lighting quick lunge out of the grass, Zyllith delivers a death blow to the ogre, who falls without a sound, its massive body slumping to the earth. The goblin, who's standing about 20 feet away, witnesses the attack, and as Zyllith rushes to a new hiding place, the goblin follows her, apparently spotting her location. He begins screaming at the top of his lungs, in an apparent attempt to get the attention of his comrades. A short distance away, four of the ogres remain full operational, while the fifth struggles unsuccessfully to keep the catapult in working order.
On the front lines, Belkas and Arisa continue their arcane assault on the second hill giant, who's starting to show signs of wearing down from the damage. Having turned his attention towards the approaching tree with the spellcaster hiding in its branches, the giant rushes towards Lifferlas with his great club in hand and an expression of sheer, stupid aggression on his huge, fat face. Seeing the giant approach, Lifferlas helps shield Arisa by covering her with one of his leafy branches, and takes the full brunt of the giant's two attacks. The powerful impact of wood on wood sends vibrations through Arisa's body, but the awakened tree seems to withstand the forceful blows with a stout sense of resilience.
The two other giants huck another pair of boulders at the rush of oncoming guards, killing two more of them, one of who was running alongside Vernon, not 10 feet away from him. He watches as the guard's body is crushed into a ghastly sight of blood and broken bones, realizing that if he had longer legs, it could very well have been him.
Nonetheless, Vernon and the company of guards, who breaks into three groups, reach within striking distance of the giants and begin their assault on the trio of huge creatures, while two more goblin missiles fly overhead. One of them smashes into the front gate, while the other hits and kills another archer up on top of the wall.

It seemed the goblin managed to spot her after her flurry of actions. Zyllith was fine with that, dealing with a single goblin all alone was a far easier then a giant after all. Once again she rushed out of her hiding spot charging the goblin with a slash of her rapier as she continued her quick movements to dive behind cover once more.
