The perception checks don't yield any additional information. Matreous is still dead from the singular puncture wound, and nothing has changed.

Well. For Matreous' funeral rights, im going to check his person to see if he has anything that denotes his affiliations. More over, to return his body to where we all came from, i'll look for anything of use on him. I just feel like he should be buried.

Mav flashes a toothy smile at Emporious "Ooh I like this one....."

Then to Barbar - " Will you stop futzing with the former Mr. Matreous, he has shed his mortal coil...We have more important things to be concerned with at the moment and I don't think he will be going anywhere while we continue to search"

M9 - ARBORETUM

This end of the building is an arboretum with open, arched walls. Flowering shrubs and small trees grow between paved paths that meet in a semicircular patio. There’s no sun, but two glowing globes hang above the plants, bathing them in light. There are colorful blossoms everywhere, filling the air with their perfume.

Barbär crosses Matreous' arms and places a coin over each eye, bows, and follows with acknowledgement behind Mav, seeming to be a bit put off about not being able to help the old man.

As he enters, the feeling is put to the back of his mind seeing such a nice room.

My. Isnt this a reprieve from the rest of this place? Quire nice here.

He takes in a breath through his nostrils, taking in the scent

As Mav and Barbär head off towards the Arboretum (M9), Isa quickly follows as she does not want to end up like the likes of Matreous.  "Come on y'all, we need to stick together."

Emporious moves on to the arboritum giving Matreous a dismayed look as he passes. Once in the arboritum he starts giving it his own visual once over specifically looking for any books that may add to their collection of letters but not discounting the possibility of finding other tidbits of knowledge.

No books, just plants and giggling noises.

"Cut it out Hino....you're not fooling anyone..." Mav says to the giggling

Orvok tours round the Arboretum, axe in hand, seeing if he can find the source of the giggling, or if his Detect Evil pings...

Nothing evil, but there's definitely something in one of those trees that you can't see. You can barely see the evidence of something invisible moving among the foliage.

Although Hino had been giggling (at the conversation about good and evil), she responds to Mav’s jovial jab “T’wasnt me good sir. This place is beautiful!  In stark contrast to the rest of this ragamuffins paradise. This arboretum...I could entertain clients here!  In fact, when we’re all done here, I think I might speak to the manager and see if I can rent out this pocket dimension for my...more esteemed clients.”

Continuing, “For now, though, since there aren’t any books in here, I say we let that laughing lubberwort be and check out another room.”

Emporious shows his support for the suggestion by slowly moving for the door.

'I can't believe I'm going to say this...' Isa thinks to herself "I agree with Hino... on the second part" she stresses "that is, that we should leave the giggling lubberwort and move on."

Isa starts moving with Emporious back towards the door.

Before backing away, Orvok tries something ’Hello?’ he asks the invisible something...

Really i default to you on this information. Ive never dealt with a Lubberwort, or if they are aggressive..

Barbär backs his way out, keeping his shield posted up.

"I've heard Lubberworts prefer the taste of human male flesh the best...."

“What?!” Isa replies not paying any attention to the ‘male’ part of Mav’s comment “They prefer human flesh?!?!”  I’ve never dealt with a lubberwort!” She says as she hastens to move back out of the room.
