Emporious steps around from beside the door just as the two females head up the stairs. Instead of following them however he nods politely to the dragonborn and attempts to open the door to the right. He ignores any protests and enters the room should it be unlocked.

The room is locked.

He tries the other.

Emporious sends his tiny manifestation upstairs while he steps out side. He'll be able to eee and hear all that goes on.

Barbär sees the doors are locked from Emporious efforts, Are we breaking it do- he says before Emporious walks away. Breaking it down then? Which one? Im sure there will be more push back here than an elderly person.

"Perhaps we should wait until we see what transpires upstairs." replies Emporious. "You could check with the dragonborn and see if she has a key but I doubt she'll be willing to help."

"C'mon Hino, let's see what's up here" Isa and Hino climb the stairs to the next level while the cowards the other two keep guard downstairs.  Isa send Barbar and Emporious a Message "Make sure you tell us if something is coming... we don't need any additional surprises."

T16

A dank scent fills the air in this well-used kitchen. Three tables stand in the room, one of which is covered in various vegetables and strange-looking cuts of meat. A wood stove burns brightly against the far wall, and a statue of a winged elf stands in the corner, its face carved into an open-mouthed smile.

An elderly dwarf stands before the stove, his hands trembling as he tries to lift a heavy iron pot.

Isa scans the scene... another one of those crazy looking winged elf statues... I swear, those things are a bit freaky she thinks to herself.  Upon seeing the dwarf she immediately thinks of the possibility of this being Falthrax "Falthrax?" she asks softly.

Hino keeps her eyes set on the elf sculpture…believing it to likely be alive and play acting like it’s a statue.

Perception: 13

The old dwarf is pathetically withered and near tears upon seeing you and hearing his name. 

He is deathly afraid.

"Aye. Please leave. You have no idea what evil you have intruded upon. I beg you. Torment they will, if they know you are here."

Isa realizes that the dwarf has obviously also been cursed by these hags "We are here to help you.... we were sent to find you.  Are any of the hags in the tower right now?" she asks gently.

She quickly send a Message to Barbar and Emporious "We found Falthrax.... but he's cursed and very old and frail."

"No!" he says, backing away, but he's looking up. "Please leave. They will kill you or enslave you all! It is not safe here!"

The statue in the end of the room comes to life suddenly - a gargoyle! It emits a terrible noise, like an alarm. It's piercing and horrible. Falthrax falls to the ground in a fetal position and trembles.

Roll for initiative.

As soon as Emporious sees the ladies clear the top stair he sends Archimedes flying up as well. Through his psychic connection to the manifestation he sees and hears all that is going on as the apparition also makes its way to the top floor. As the events transpire he relates what he sees to Barbär. He pauses only to answer Isa's message with one of his own,

"We know. I see all."

Its at this moment the statue comes to life. "Gargoyle!!" He shouts as he snatches his spellbook from its pocket on his back and immediately begins casting a spell.

Barbär hears the noise and starts moving!

Seeing the statue suddenly come to life, Isa declares “I knew that thing wasn’t just a statue...the one outside probably isn’t either”

She quickly message Barbar “Gargoyle up here, help!”
