Nimruil gives one look at the raft following Vicelor's suggestion, and shakes his head. "While I had admitted to liking my luck, the odds of relying on that 'thing'-" He thumbs the boat. "-winding up as little more than floatsam within the next hour are much too high, my scaley friend." Nim continued with a grin, then looks to Grum. "Shall we indeed! Lead on, my friend!"

(The swamp is too thick to want a raft for most of it. You can bring it and you won't have to swim but it could slow you down.)
You continue deeper into the swamp. As Grum leads you deeper into the swamp, you find the going is getting more and more difficult. Between the afternoon heat, the constant sludging through muck, and occasional plant clearing, by the time the sun begins to set you are all exhausted.
I need everyone to make a survival and perception check.
Grum sees that Vicelor is struggling with the thick mud and whisper to him "If you need, I can hold you on my shoulders. We will be faster in that way..." Perception: 19 Survival: 19
Vicelor, occasionally you fall over your head into water and struggle in the muck but it isn't unbearable for you. Grum, having been leading for most of the day you look up at the sun and realize it isn't where it should have been. You should have been walking towards the sunset, not away from it. You realize that the group is lost in the swamp.
"This is not good, look at where the sun is setting. We are no going the right way. Morgid ! any idea ?". Grum then looks at the group and can see the exhaustion in all members. He points out a patch of grass, that seems safe, and ask "Should we call it a day and camp her?"
Morgid checks his map and looks around. "We haven't passed any land marks since... hm.... that snake swarm may have been the darkened woods here (he points to the dark woods South West of Urzin.) If so.... I fear we may have mostly been going in circles. I can't tell our exact position currently. Nighttime in the swamp plays tricks with you. In the morning perhaps we can get our bearings."
Nimruil, in spite of it all, had to put a hand over his mouth to suppress a chuckle. Even then, it is not nearly enough,as a bit of hysterical sounding tidbits peeter out before he finally settles down. "Sorry.. sorry. It's just its funny the sort of start to all this. Still, we've done well to make it this far. And while I and our scaley friend here would certainly prefer the dark over this incessant sunlight for sanity's sake alone, a long rest there-ish will just have to do." He concedes and shrugs. "That said, I would sorely hate to be snuck up on out here. So, I don't suppose any of you have the means to ward orrr, I dunno... rig up a quick trap of some sort to dissuade would be predators, hm? A final group project before we rest, perhaps?" He asked suggestively.
Ultimately, regardless of what came of the idea, when it came time to set up watches all the same, the Drow more than happily takes the 2nd to last watch.

In response to Grum's offer to ride on his shoulders, Vicelor glares at the bugbear and keeps trudging stubbornly. And once it is vocalized that the group is somewhat lost, the shaman sighs loudly. "For someone who was just 'paid to guide', you don't prove to be very good at it," he says under his breath.
Once the party starts to set up camp, Vicelor chants something in Druidic while waving his yew wand. A few small limbs sprout from the wood. Upon the limbs are leaves, and clustered among the leaves are reddish purple berries. The green-scaled kobold plucks each of the berries, and once the last one has been collected, he shakes the wand, and all of the limbs and leaves turn to small motes of light which wink out, leaving his wand like it was before the spell was cast. He pops one of the berries in his toothy snout while stowing the others in a small pouch on his belt.
Vicelor, your watch goes by quietly. You see a number of ravens fly over head during the night but nothing else exciting. As you are waking up Grum, you wingbeats behind you and something brushes against your back. You jump slightly and turn around to see five flying creatures covered in fur with long needle like snouts. I need everyone to roll init. Nim, you are still asleep as this is happening but if someone wakes you up (shaking or shouting as a bonus action) you will join in the next time you are up in the initiative order.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.

Startled, Vicelor yells out in surprise. In the blink of an eye, the small green-scaled kobold has turned into a giant spider! He sprays webbing at one of the flying creatures, attempting to restrain it.
Web: 19 (range 30 feet)
If it hits:
The target is restrained by webbing. As an action, the restrained target can make a DC 12 Strength check, bursting the webbing on a success. The webbing can also be attacked and destroyed (AC 10; hp 5; vulnerability to fire damage; immunity to bludgeoning, poison, and psychic damage).
Grum wakes up with the noise and instantly recognised the nasty creatures. "Everybody up ! Stirges ! don't let those things comes close, They'll suck your blood." Without wasting time to don his shield (AC15 atm), he stands up and grabs his Morningstar. He turns his back to the campfire creating a large bugbear shadow on the bushes. "Arrrgggg, come at me you ugly birds !" Bonus action: Rage (2/2) Action: Readying action - swinging my Morningstar at a Stirge flying attacking me

(What is the watch order? Nimruil 3rd it sounds like. Morgid can take any of the watches.)
As we can all see in the dark, that doesn't really need to be taken into account. Vicelor is willing to take any watch. How about first?
Grum agrees to take second.
