How did you get here? Why are you even here? What's the point of this?
The point is to wage warfare against the vile inhabitants of various dank, smelly, holes in the ground. Why? Because its fun.
I just got a bunch of new books with some reasonably (read: very) difficult new monsters and I want to try and field them against a party without any care if they make sense, thematically and otherwise. Also helps that I can't be pre-empted by anyone with the official content and a little bit of deduction.
For players, this is also your chance to go and field that super cool munchkin build that your regular DM wouldn't let you use. Go absolutely wild; go absolutely loco. Official content and blood hunter only though.
Make 9th level characters. No need for a backstory, enemies will hunt you with arrows and magic rather than words and thinly veiled blackmail attempts. I sort of suggest that you just announce interest before making a character so you can coordinate party composition. Better a well oiled killing machine than a bunch of optimized but absolutely not complementary characters.
If you're new to DnD or to RPGs or new to min/maxing anything i suggest you might want to skip this. That, or you consult munchkin guides online. Which is still valid, don't let anyone tell you otherwise.
Point buy, standard array, or rolled. Although if you roll low you can go for point buy.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.

(Will there be a chance to get a surprise at the beginning of each fight?)
Rollback Post to RevisionRollBack
"A rightful place awaits you in the Realms Above, in the Land of the Great Light. Come in peace, and live beneath the sun again, where trees and flowers grow."
— The message of Eilistraee to all decent drow.
"Run thy sword across my chains, Silver Lady, that I may join your dance.”
Custom Lineage Battle Smith Artificer. Warcaster at level one, PAM at level four. He uses Warcaster to cast Booming Blade when a creature moves into his reach and a repulsion shield(Infusion) to push enemies out of reach, so they have to move back into melee range and take extra thunder damage.
Or something else, but that's a build I've been working on for a while.
Haha, this is great. Hard to resist this. Would look forward to building a min/maxed PC for this, but have a number of ideas and will remain flexible for good party composition as mentioned.
(we re-rolling 1's at all for stats?)
(I've played a sorcadin before so other ideas will probably stem from bladesinger, multiclassed ranger, sorlock, eldritch knight, etc.)
This character specializes in locking down spellcasters. They are good in a lot of areas besides that, but, if up against a wizard, you can expect that wizard to be shut down fairly quickly, if they even get a chance to act.

That's alright. We can use the DDB messaging system to coordinate.
