 I think that yes, the first time (for questions of roleplay)... But if you live with an half-cloaker, it won't take long before you can ignore it.

 We'll assume that they did nothing on their turn. I will likely be more inactive on weekends and holidays. The warlock still makes their attack as they were the one at the gate (I hope that was specified or assumed earlier)
