Linene looks thoughtful. "You know... I was saving these for if he were to return, but perhaps you'd be the next best to make use of them." She'd turn and begin reaching into the trunk. Her facial expressions kept changing as if she were sifting through items but wasn't finding what she was looking for. After a little sigh, the older woman would inhale a breath a brace herself. She'd bend at the knees, each of them popping as she did, and lean deeper into the trunk. It was as if there were no bottom to it! But surely there was... After a little grunt, it appeared the woman found it. With a few more snap, crackles and pops as she stood back upright, Linene turned back around.
Placing a bundle on the counter next to Onu's chosen rapier and crossbow, she'd being untying it. Linene would reveal a myriad of intricate components and parts that she could definitely not even begin to describe herself, but knew an artificer would. However, there were a handful of items next to that, that she could. She'd separate the items, spreading them out over the deep blue velour fabric. There were three heavy bolt heads, three silver bolt heads and a mix of silver beads and ingots, enough to coat at least one weapon, maybe two.

Onu 1 x Rapier: 25gp 1 x Light Crossbow: 25gp 1 x Crossbow bolt case: Complementary 1 x Crossbow Bundle - 20 bolts: Complementary Onu Total: 50g

Onu face got a slight far away look to it as the blade and bolt thrower were laid across the counter. As if in a trances, his hands traced the air over both weapons, a slow, intricate pattern taking shape in the air - the lines traced by his fingers almost visible with the intensity of his concentration. After a moment of this, the spell broke almost as soon as it came upon him, the monk looked up, eyes on fire with delight, a smile beaming from his face.
'This. These....' a deep breath and he turns to his companion, 'These are what I saw, these are the tools that came to me in the vision.' Digging into the hidden compartments along his belt, the half-elf quickly counts out his coin, eagerly stacking them on the counter before turning to KD 'I have more coin if you need it, are these the tools you need?'
KD watches with interest, helping to make suggestions as things are assembled, and when Linene makes her presentation, places 600 copper pieces, 200 silver pieces, and 5 gold pieces on the counter. She looks at Onu. "I don't have enough. But I can ante up the equivalent of 31, if you can get the rest, to cover some of those bolts. With some time, I might be able to craft some really useful ammunition for that bolt thrower."
(Would this help pad out her collection of tools such that she had a full set of tinker's or alchemist's tools?)
Onu counts out the rest of the coin needed, gladly piling virtually everything he has in his pockets to help fund the artificer's experiments and designs. 'Yes, yes! Happy to help, here, here's the rest, and of course, happy to have your ingenious mind and hands at work on these!'
(Adding my note in the thread too: There’s nothing in my mind stopping you from using the gems in a creative way to make something. That’s one thing I believe about artificers, if they can think of it, there could be a way to do it. Using your own creativity, if there’s something you think of that you want to try, I’m happy to find a way to incorporate it. Heck you can simply bling out Hal if you wanted, or flavour gems to be used to store spells later on (artificers get that right? I believe it’s mostly on an item, but again, flavour.) if you want. But as for anything specific or particular from a DMs perspective or campaign perspective, no there’s nothing you’re missing or giving up by selling the gems.)
(As for the tools: I’d say between the stuff you found with the gnomes, and now these, it can be added towards a set of tools. I’d recommend choosing one or the other depending what suits KD’s style more. Personally I’m thinking tinker’s.)

While the others work out the final details of the transaction, Demetrios putters about. He looks not only with his eyes, but his hands too, picking things up and putting them down. There were plenty of common weapons and gear, but nothing that really sparkled or shined, nothing holy or divine that’d catch his attention. Instead his eyes would wander beyond the items and through the window. Across the street he’d just notice someone outside in front of the Townmaster’s Hall take a seat in the grass and cross her arms.
KD is fine to not spend the jewels and use golf for now - she doesn’t have anything specific in mind for them right now but there are glimmers of ideas so if she gets one jewel as her portion she would likely hold onto it to brainstorm. Otherwise the transaction is complete in her mind and she thanks Linene for her help. She starts spending free moments trying to examine Onu’s crossbow and rapier for improvement.
Demetrios frowns a bit at not finding anything of interest in the shop, though he reminds himself that they could have better in stock next time, or elsewhere. Today simply wasn't the day! However, his gaze softens as he brings his attention to the woman waiting outside of the Townmaster's hall, tilting his head.
(Could he perhaps get a read on her body language? Like is her crossing her arms her being huffy/upset, or just waiting? I hope that makes sense!! I think Insight would fit this best, but please correct me if I'm wrong!) Insight(?): 13
Before he can think much on it though, his attention is brought over to the others completing their transaction. The paladin takes another look at the woman outside prior to bringing himself to the counter. "Excuse me, Miss Greywind," He bows his head in respect. "Before we depart, I was... hoping you could possibly, erm, buy my old set of chainmail from me." As he says so, he lays the piece of armor carefully before her, it glittering in the light. "I happened to come across another set of armor that will suit me better in the journeys ahead,"He gestures over his current plate. "And I don't want to see this chainmail go to waste... I've taken good care of it. It's protected me for many years and I was hoping you would buy it from me, and sell it to someone in hopes it would protect them well, just as it had done for me."

Demetrios would be able to tell that the woman was a bit huffy or upset initially, but as if having a short attention span, things quickly shifted and she'd seem more puzzled. As if wondering what to do next.
Rasmus had found his way back to Lilly and decided he'd pick at her shoes. Should he find laces, he'd try tugging on them to undo them. Otherwise he'd try looking in her shoe or sock looking for shinies.

Rasmus having fell suspiciously quiet, would poke his head out around from behind Lilly's heels. "Two!"
Linene would complete the exchange of coin with Onu and KD when Demetrios would approach. She appreciated the lads effort in trying to sell her on his old equipment, but even her old eyes could tell that there were some dents and that the size would have to fit someone similar to his size. Though, his companions did just spend a few good gold and made room in her inventory. Greywind would lean forward, crooking a finger in his direction for him to come closer. "You'll sell it better next time dear." She'd wink and give the young man a gentle pat on the cheek. Chuckling to herself she'd accept the chainmail and offer the shiny paladin his choice of 45g or a healing potion in exchange. And should his companions wish to purchase her last two, they could.
Offer (Forgot about KD asking about healing potions)
At Linene's words, Demetrios's cheeks would flush a deep crimson, clearly embarrassed at his failed attempt at selling his gear (for a higher payout). "I-- I'll take the potion..." He mutters, defeated. No point in arguing. He was planning on getting a healing potion with the money anyhow. "Thank you." He dips his head respectfully before looking to the others. "Are we looking to purchase the other potions?"

"If we have enough gold we probably need to buy all the health potions we can find," a bit absentmindedly nodded Lilly, who was busy watching Rasmus. "No, Rasmus, these are not worms. Not edible at all! And my boots need them. You would not want me to fall, would you? You pretty bird!" She could not help but smile and pat the bird's feathers. "Are we ready to go? Now the shrine or the mayor?"
'I'm afraid I am tapped at the moment, but I agree - healing potions are always welcomed' Onu seems distracted, his attention repeatedly drawn to the new weapons as a light smile drifts across his face. Shaking himself free with an effort of will, the dapper half-elf turns to address Llily directly 'I think we head for the Mayor's office, finish what we started before taking on a new endeavor!'
Demetrios nods with Lilly’s words. It only made sense for them to by all the potions they could for their adventure onward. He steps aside to let whoever was handling their coin as of this point to make the purchase.
“Yes, yes. Mayors office, then to visit miss Fae for some information before fully heading out.” He reminds gently.
