Now that you're getting a good glimpse of the man, you are reminded of stories you've heard (and even told) around the campfire of a man who was once a promising young soldier and adventurer, but shattered his leg in the attempt to slay a white dragon. Afterward, he became a political figure in two countries to the north called Reshad and Crul Astra. His politics are often regarded as slimy. This seems to be that man, but what he's doing in Ealdrid, or better yet: this smokehouse, you don't know. The man's name is Aleister Slade.
The older gentleman snaps his fingers and the half-orc turns and leaves; the older gentleman limping after him.
"Aila Presna eh?" I mutter under my breath. I quickly finish my breakfast tossing payment to Mork. Glancing over my shoulder I see the pair of eyes belonging to a rough looking fellow. I raise my tankard in a salute then saunter back upstairs and take some time to equip myself with my leather armor and both of my trusty daggers leaving the shortswords behind. As I exit Rum Always Runs I'm hit with the delicious smells of food and the sounds of people haggling for products. Retrieving the letter from my pocket I notice something "The Shadow Grove? I could've sworn I've seen that name somewhere..."
HEDRAK - As you make your way to the smokehouse and it's wafting smell of smoked meat, you see an older gentleman limp out on a cane, escorted by a tall, hulking half-orc. The older gentleman takes in a deep breath through his nose and leans his head up a bit, a weird sight considering his arched back. He turns to the half-orc and says, "I'm going to miss that smell," before chuckling to himself. The half-orc doesn't smile.
He is curious about seeing another half-orc, and also about the man's words... But he is also too gruff to strike up a conversation, and mostly wary of anything away from his own tribal lands.
So Hedrak observes for just a split second, and continues on his way into the smokehouse.
HEDRAK - You walk into the smokehouse: a clay shack, and see a pair of red dragonborn (likely siblings), the shirtless male making his way to the back where some meats are being roasted. You see the female going in and out of an adjacent room, looking solemn and upset. Standing on the outskirts of the room, you see a Teifling decked in a trench coat and hat.
DHARRUS - As soon as who you believe to be Aleister Slade and the half-orc exits, a new figure enters. At first glance, you think the half-orc has come back in, but no. This is a half-orc, but not the one that was with Slade. This one dons armor and weapons, with a set of furs tucked in a travel sack they carry on their back.
After a few more minutes of relaxing in the water, a now clean Arlen shakes out as much grime as possible from his clothes before changing and strapping his shortsword across his back, the hilt poking above his shoulder. Slinging his pack over his other shoulder, he leaves and searches for a shop to assist him in his adventure to get new clothes.
ARLEN - As you leave, feeling refreshed and clean, and entering back into the bustle of the city, you search the vendors and shops for what you desire. You take a look around and get the sense Hunter's Delight is the best place for travel supplies and hunting equipment, The Armory is the best shop for weapons and armor, and Cobbling, Cloths, and Cuts is the best place to find new clothing.
The female dragonborn turns to you and smiles. "Greetings," he puts down a fresh bucket of water near the back and steps over to greet you. "Apologies, it's been quite a day. Looking for some nourishment? We have the best selection this side of Koric Pass." From the back, the male starts poking at some smoking slabs of meat with a prong, making the juices sizzle.
She goes on to list the prices:
1lb of mutton or beef = 1 Silver 1lb of Ham = 1 Silver and 4 Copper 1lb of Salted Beef - 1 Silver and 8 Copper 1lb of lamb = 3 Silver 1lb of Wolf Meat = 3 Silver 1lb of Salmon = 6 Silver
After having a look around and making a mental note to remember ‘Hunter’s Delight’, Arlen makes his way to ‘Cobbling, Cloths and cuts’, making sure that his hood covering his face once more.
"Is everything ok?"- he asks, trying to avoid staring at the red scaled female. Fact is, only once he left his tribe did he ever came across those of the dragonborn race.
Heading to Cobbling, Cloths, and Cuts you see pass by the well, and notice the woman with the swaddled baby is still there, sitting on the stones and observing the passing crowd.
You come to the shop, a squat, rectangular building with long rows specialized to each article of clothing. There is an extra row against the wall that seems to be showcasing the items with magical properties. The store is empty, save for one human customer, a pair of armored figures that stand at the door, and an 8-foot tall Firbolg with grey fir. They are dressed in flamboyant robes and an ornate ring on each finger. Both of their ears display a selection of pricings, the oddest of which is a chain that dangles down to the floor, swaying just millimeters of the ground. They notice you with a slow nod and a smile.
"Understood"- the half-orc replies - "Is this his business?"- he questions curiously, but then quickly retracts himself, and looks intently at the meats in display - "It is none of my business though. Any suggestions on what meat I should taste?"
The woman makes her way to the back. and starts using a knife to slap slabs of different meat onto a cloth. "It was my father's business before he died. I took over when he passed." She nods to the male. "My half-brother had to come down from Crul Astra to help me." She comes over with the cloth piles with meat. "Now, I personally recommend the Salmon, since it's so hard to get here in Jakorian, but it's also the most expensive, so be warned."

Exiting the Hunter's Delight with a nod to Vicwood, Hedrak decides to press onwards to the smokehouse - the smell is simply impossible to ignore.

"Well met" - Hedrak greets the two dragonborn, whom he assumes to be the owner of the smokehouse. He nods also at the tiefling.
Then he begins perusing the wares in display.
