Skal sighs, and stands up. He's tempted to rage at the door, but his gut says that would be futile. He notices Sass-wolf picking at the hat, and Skal has a hunch the wolf is onto something. "Let me take a look wolf."
Skal picks up the hat and checks it thoroughly, finding no key on or in the hat. Sass however sees the key sitting on the ground, under where the hat had been. the elf seems intent on her ritual and Skal's rage fades
Skal drops the hat, about to knock the wolf back, but sees the sparkle of a key. "Good work wolf!" He wants to open the door, but sees the elf focusing on her ritual and decides to wait on opening the door.
The doors swing inward and you're blasted with the sickly scent of fresh rot. The Chamber is dimly lit by several torches on the wall, some form of unholy sigil is marked on the ground in old dry blood. the far end of the chamber appears to have been dug out and a disturbing statue sits on a throne made of bones in the center of it. in the dim lighting the statue itself is of roughly humanoid and seems to be made of bodies stitched together haphazardly. Arms, hands, feet, and even several faces can be made out with a large bulls skull for a head with a eerie green flame in its eye sockets.
standing before this horrid thing is a hunched man in loose robes leaning heavily on a wooden crutch. he turns as you enter and greets you with a smile, but only one side of his face moves. as he hobbles around to face you it is clear his right leg is malformed in some way, as is his right arm that he holds close to his chest. his hand is twisted and is more claw like. His eyes flicker with the same eerie green light as the statue.
"ALE!? when everyone in this accursed town already thought me a drunkard just because I can't walk straight! Don't insult me halfbreed" he says with a sneer on the last word, voice heavily slurred. as if just speaking was a challenge.
//I mean, we COULD, but maybe I like it locked! Lol//
//Maybe we should look at the hat?//
//just a reminder Perception checks are looks/sounds/smells while Investigation is actually examining an object//
