Trying to look and smell beyond the obvious blight, he does his best to look for signs of necromantic activity. Runes, bones, scrape marks, spell components, hidden things. Anything that might jog his memory, or his danger sense. Not intentional, really. Instinct.
As the rest of the group approach, they get to the front door and find it secured with a rusty, but still functional, lock.
Stitch pockets the compass after Drego scoops him up. Not being overly concerned with concealing where he puts the precious shiny since most everyone else is ahead of him and focused on the building they’ve discovered.
Seeing the lock on the door, Stitch’s curiosity gets the better of him and he clambers down to play with the lock (read pick the lock).
Jax: As you look around, you feel a strange certainty that the withering around you is due to the undead in the area (others have surmised this, but you're absolutely sure). Other than that, however, you do not notice much of note around the front of the outpost.
After a moment, Stitch is able to pop the lock. The door opens onto a dining hall with a long table down the middle. Suits of armor stand along the walls, and a door is visible on each wall. A long hallway at the back leads to further things.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Drego holds up his hand as the barbarian steps forward. He puts one finger to his lips in the universal sign to stay quiet and he slides forward into the strange room, eyes sweeping back and forth for any signs of traps or danger as he moves ahead.

Investigation 21
Stitch creates a “light” version of himself sitting on Drego’s shoulders to help illuminate the room. dancing lights (If that light bounces off any shinies he definitely goes to check them out. I’m thinking most likely one of the suits of armor nearest the entrance.)
Robin looks after Case, but moves to one of the armored figures. She looks it over, trying to see if it is just decoration or if it is an actual suit of armor. "Think any of this armor is actually useable?" She asks the group.
Is PM able to go to the doors and poke their head in to peek into next room? (Fairy racial ability allows for squeezing oneself through any 1inch gap… though playing as a dragon so not sure we’re using that or not?) If so then peek they shall under the first closed door…
Otherwise the dragon hovers above the head height of the others, keeping their line of sight clear as we explore.
As far as Robin can tell, both the armor and longswords are real, and while a little rusty, still functional.
I am happy to use that feature of PM's race (I see no reason to deny you a race feature), but unfortunately the gaps under the doors are far narrower than one inch.
(P.S. When looking at/opening doors, please identify exactly which door you are looking under, i.e. "the door to Room 3", for example)
Jax looks around. Smells. Scowls.

Drego stays close as Stitch works on the lock, ready to pull the little goblin back out of the way once the door is opened.
He'll work to open the door as quietly as possible and peek into the space beyond unobtrusively

Péiste Mór will tumble out of the sky and rejoin the group.
Jax starts as PM rejoins the group, and, assumedly on his shoulders. "Ah! I did not see you there. Very sneaky."

Jax offers to go in first, unless someone else wants to scout ahead...
"well we did open the door for a reason..."

Case says, “I will guard our entry.” He strides into the room cautiously, shield and mace out as he glances about.
Not particularly stealthy he moves into the room hoping to get between any party members and an aggressor.

Jax steps in after Drego moves inside to investigate, weapons out, smelling and listening, readying an attack fo anything dangerous...
Nobody sees or smells anything dangerous in the dining hall. The room seems empty.
The nearest shiny is in fact the suits of armor.

Hovering above the party and playing lookout is fine then. :)
