"mmmm, perhaps if you tried to pull 'nothing' out of the bag..." the dragon suggests while subtly moving some of Jax's money to his own pile... ((kidding, kidding! The dragon is more than happy to hoard, err, handle your money. Just make sure you don't actually expect me to!)) :D
(Robin would only be doing the identifying of the items in her room, so as not to draw the wrong sort of attention to the items.)
Robin pays the money for a room, and the extra to have a bath readied in it. She then requests a glass of wine, before making her way to her room. Once there she waits for the water to be poured into the tub that was carried in, and tips the staff who set it all up for her, before closing and locking her door. She then strips and climbs into the tub, soaking in the warm water as she drinks her wine.
After her wine is gone, she dunks her long red hair into the water, and soaps up, before climbing out. The water has cooled by now anyway, and she knows there is more to do prior to going to bed. Slipping into a night tunic, she settles on the bed with the two magical items. She spends the next 2 hours studying the magical items, eventually learning what they have found.
Jax retroactively does not try for anything in the bag of holding, sadly. He rests in his room and wakes early, ready to greet the day. PM has to remind him of the names of everyone in the group. He does ask Case for a potato, and a keg of ale, unsure exactly why, however.
Robin explains the purpose of both items, laying them out on the table and letting anyone who wishes to try a hand at pulling things out of the bag... She would have already verified if anything was actually inside of the bag, prior to coming from her room though.
(OOC: All right, everyone can long rest and level up to 3! I'll want a marching order when you're ready to head out onto the road, as well as what you might be doing while traveling :D)
Case also wakes up early. He goes and does some shopping and purchases a 100gp diamond with his earnings. That morning he sits focusing on the diamond. A small winged lizard like creature with two arms, two legs, and big ears shimmers and slowly forms around the diamond until the thing stands in front of him. He then spends a bit of time focusing on his shield. Once done, he waits for the group to be ready to depart.
As they walk, he will take point. His shield is on his arm, his mace hangs by his side. His creature flies around above, about 200 feet ahead and up with orders to look for trouble and fly back to him if it spots any.

Pieste Mor wakes up early, snorts out a big puff of smoke from their nostrils, then crawls back into Jax's backpack to sleep some more.
Pieste Mor wakes up enough to grab some breakfast snacks before they leave the inn, half is immediately eaten and the other half hoarded within the bag. More napping then ensues. Eventually, as the walking commences, Pieste Mor crawls out of the bag to rest upon Jax's shoulder and get some sun. The dragon sleeps with his eyes half open, always ready to fly up and off the shoulder perch to engage in combat if need be...
At some point, as Jax wanders up closer to the front, the dragon spots a small winged lizard with big ears flying at the party. "...fresh snacks..." the dragon says as it launches from Jax's shoulder and tries to grab the creature in his jaws! ((Though since PM deals 0 HP damage on a successful unarmed strike, the dragon will need to spice it up with some dragon magics...))
Dragon Bite Attack: 18 Damage: Unable to parse dice roll.

Otherwise, the dragon spends most of it's time riding in Jax's backpack or upon his shoulders. Pieste Mor does hunt on occasion, flying about here or there and catching small creatures and larger insects to supplement their diet of whatever the rest of the party is eating. Except when deep asleep, Pieste Mor is much more aware of what is going on around them than they let on. They are almost always ready to launch off of Jax's shoulders and take to the air if things seem tense... Their standard procedure would be to hove a good 30' above the ground but is generally in a similar position to Jax otherwise.
On the journey PM will often tell stories of history or fairy tales or just tall tales that have been picked up here or there. They're not a particularly great story teller but it passes the time and the stories are quite often animated in small smoke figure portraying the action, which always makes things more interesting.
Case yells up loudly towards PM, "Uh...No! No! Do not eat that. It is not good for you! It is also my creation. It aids us!"
He calls for his homunculus to return to him and examines the damage from the small dragon. He fusses with it for a minute (Mending) and repairs the damage along it, and then sends it back up into the air.
As the group starts out, Robin would hold up the bag and wand. "I would personally like to keep hold of the wand, as it would be useful for when my spells are not plentiful, but the bag could be worn by anyone in the group." She glances around. "Do you want me to just hold on to it, or does someone else wish to wear it?"
Jax walks along, puffing on his own pipe, tendrils of smoke flitting about his head. He walks near the front of the group, chatting amiably, happy to be on the road again.
Traveling with him, it looks almost as if his tattoos on his wrists and lower neck are more detailed and intricate than they were before. He serves as a complacent aircraft carrier for PM.
Case looks at PM, "Um, no. It is not a real creature. Just a fragment of magical creation." He pauses for a good long time, lost in thought. His mind seems to be racing, his eyes flickering back and forth. Finally he says, "I think it likely that this is what the creators of my race once said. My apologies. You are correct. I will name him Zanzibar. Zanzibar, this is the group. Everyone, this is Zanzibar. He is our new ally and I will treat him with the same care and respect I would any other living creature."

The dragon narrows its eyes, then tilts and drops their head briefly in recognition of Zanzibar. “….welcome new ally… forgive me if I lose myself on occasion but you do look quite tastey and snacklike…” Pieste Mor considers for a moment longer then adds “…and you do not get a share of the treasure.”
Drego had spent the night in peaceful slumber. As they set off for the day he found himself feeling content. Content in a way that feels unfamiliar. Unfamiliar but not unwelcome.
Caring for Stitch had changed his path, brought him here, away from the dark alleys and watering holes he had haunted as a bounty hunter. This new path had brought him new challenges, new allies, and well, a new outlook. There were dark things afoot. Dark things that wanted to consume the living world itself. Protecting Stitch, even protecting himself, would mean he'd have to be even more vigilant, and more willing to delve into the darkness where the hunger lived.
He felt more ready, more attuned to the world around him as they set off on this next leg of their adventure.
With a shrug, Robin attaches the bag of holding to her belt, and slips the wand into her quiver of crossbow bolts. She will plan on picking up a wand sheath as soon as possible, prior to leaving town is not needed, but whenever they find another place that would have such things.
"I was too busy last night to do any purchasing." She would mention as they set out. "I don't want to cause us to delay further, as I know we have a long treck ahead, but, when we get to another sizeable town, I would like to pick up some spell components, as well as a few other things." She has no reason to delay here for these things, as her find familiar spell, and the wand sheath, are not urgently needed at this point, especially with case's new friend already along with the group.
Drego nods as Robin mentions a quick shopping trip, thinking about the coin he had jingling in his pocket. 'Happy to stop anywhere you'd like on the way out of town, never know what you'll find that could be useful later'
"hmmm, shopping it is then... " Pieste Mor says with a half asleep growl of approval. "...is there anything we are looking for in particular? rings or potions, wands or notions? something for protection, something to help attack... something for misdirection or something cursed ya can't take back?"
The dragon would of course be curious to see what was for sale in such a shop or two, though suspected they'd find nothing worth parting with gold for... There would be plenty of time to depart afterwards, the day was still young. In fact, had barely begun.
Case pipes up, "Jax, if you would like an axe, a potato, or a blanket I would be happy to acquire one for you."

Once he's certain they are ready, he wakes the gobbo and heads down into the common room, looking for a hot meal and the rest of the party.
