Derin brings you to a map of the large, multilevel Monastery. "There is a primary undead storage vault near where you fought the shadow. Here." He taps the spot on the map. "The libraries are scattered all over the Monastery, there are at least half a dozen within relatively close proximity to the area you already cleared of the Order."
'The bottom is as good a place as any' Drego reaches down and scoops Stitch up, slinging him up onto his back - hoping to keep the little one out of harms way - and out of their hair - as they begin the investigation.
"If we walk through the undead storage vault, and there is a knight of bones, maybe he will attack us. Or we look for the one skeleton that does not have horns. Easy."Jax says,
Robin considers the magical aspect of this, looking around the chamber(s) with an eye to anything off in an arcane sense. Arcana rolled in game log, got a 15.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Pieste Mor will use a combination of their Fey Passage feature which allows squeezing thrown small cracks and gaps (which has never been useful and has been made obsolete by the new MoM book), their Devil’s Sight to see even if they poke their head where there’s no light, their Stealth to do this subtly and without notice (12) and Deception by acting like they are just a tourist looking for a gift shop attendant, not an adventurer looking for a Boney Knight (24)
Jax tries to use his necromantic intuition to try to draw out or identify any bone knight from the sleeping undead, walking the rows and smelling and listening for anything different…
The vaults hold chamber upon chamber of skeletons, all standing and staring straight ahead motionlessly. They do not move no matter what you do.
Robin and Jax: Working together with your varied arcane senses, you find a trace of active necromancy down a hallway.
Drego: You look around and following the hallway Robin and Jax found, track down the area that houses several battalions of minotaur skeletons.
PM: You start poking your head around and into chambers in the minotaur area, and finally poke your head into a chamber that houses three minotaur skeletons that are moving around, surrounding a man wearing what looks like a set of armor crafted out of bones, studying a letter. He does not see you.
Case walks behind the group, staying near the rear, as his metal body and armor tend to make a lot of noise. He has a shield on, and his mace out, while his metal dog clangs beside him and his flying pet hunches on his shoulder.

The knight of bones hides among soldiers. The skeletal ranks silently rage at his corruption of their horned brothers, PM thinks and his jaw drops at just how precise the clue was. Maybe I should be reading my horoscope after all... Knowing the others are nearby the dragon decides to use the opportunity to strike first to the best of his ability and casts Dragon Fire upon the group in front of him, trying to get as many of them as possibly highlighted by the violet light of his spell...
"... horny skeletons over here, you guys!" PM calls out and tries to back away quite defensively while the others rush in...
Drego approaches quietly, staying out of sight as best he can, but when PM opens on the group, he sighs and follows the fire with a flurry of crossbow bolts.
OOC: Yeah, so I'm willing to give PM a surprise round for his successful Stealth, but the rest of you have to open the door to access the skellies...so no surprise round for you.
"The first portal we found was in the basement, right?" Jax says. "Is there a barracks or library near the basement?"

"True." Robin agrees. "Work our way up from there." She turns and is ready to head out.

(Sorry, it was a busy few days)
The six of you make your way down to the undead vault to do some investigation! Derin is able to open it up for you.
This is a pretty chill skill challenge to find the "knight of bones"--if you can justify using a skill, I'll let you roll it.
