Skorli tends to Joslyn with healing magic
Cure wounds : 10
"Aye, that's all I can do for now as well. We won't do me dwarf brethren any good if we died on the way. Back to the village to recoup, an' tomorrow we'll find 'em"
As the winged beast flees the battle Aelyn emerges from the ruin and looks around the crew. "Well done everyone. I admit I didn´t expect facing a beast like that this near Phandalin but I think we handled it fairly well together considering this was only our first job." He says as he walks around patting the backs of the others while they tend to their wounds.
As the old woman emerges from the windmill with her wheelbarrow Aelyn approaches her. "Yes milady, we are indeed heading back to Phandalin. It seems we came in the nick of time, but fear not milady, henceforth the area is under the protection of The Phandalin Phabulous Phive." Aelyn says and smiles widely. "Now let me help you with that." He adds and offers to take the wheelbarrow back to Phandalin. "Everyone ready to go back then?" He asks the others as he´s ready for the return trip, already looking forward to a sweet goblet of wine at the Stonehill Inn.

As they return to Phandalin Aelyn takes Adabra and her wheelbarrow over to the Townmaster Harbin Wester to claim the reward of 25 gp. "Good evening Sir, me and my companions have just escorted Adabra here back to Phandalin. We also chased away a winged beast shooting spikes from its tail that was attacking the home of Adabra. I suppose we thereby have fulfilled the requirements for collecting the reward of 25 pieces of gold. I might mention we have plans to take on other missions in the service of your lovely town. If need arises you will probably find us at the Stonehill Inn Sir."Aelyn explains to the townmaster.
Before going on to the Inn Aelyn distributes the reward making it 5 gp each and asks Adabra where she would like her wheelbarrow and takes it there for her, wishing her good luck and reassuring her that the Phandalin Phabulous Phive will see to it that she will be able to safely return to her home within long.
After that Aelyn will return to the Stonehill Inn, ordering their finest meal and a bottle of wine to go with that. While enjoying his food, wine and company, he will share a detailed and very flavoured recollection of the battle with the winged beast with any townsfolk that would care to listen. Performance:15 (rolled with advantage in case someone backs him up in the storytelling, Otherwise go with first roll :-)
(OOC: Please comment on the suggestion of a party name. I think we should have one but I am certainly open to other more serious suggestions ;-)
Aelyn when arrive at the town master's hall you notice the door is bared shut with nails. When you nock on the door a small eye piece in the door opens up. Although you can not see the town master you hear a male voice, "thankyou for getting Adabra for the town, she is a potion maker and I'm sure she could help the town. It is good to hear you will be completing more quests for the town". The 25 gold pieces are slid out under the door once at a time. Adabra tells you she is friend's with the local provisioner and goes to stay with him. Arriving at the tavern. A few patrons are willing to listen to your story.
Skorli accompanies Aelyn and the others to the townmaster's hall, and later to the tavern. He enjoys a tankard or two of ale along with a hearty meal listening and laughing at his friend's enjoyable retelling, somewhat embellished, of the day's adventure, but is careful to retire to a room at such an hour as to complete a full night's rest before their new quest the next morning. (OOC Are we all renting a shared room, or individual? DM please let me know how much coin to deduct from my 5gp for the room, board, and drink)
Skorli pays the barkeep, adding an additional silver with a request to keep an ear out for any news of his relatives of Clan Stonehearth. He then heads upstairs, anyone who wishes to share a room to is welcome.
(I will take a long rest if that's OK. how are we doing XP?)
(If I awake early, I will go and visit that local shrine before rejoining my party at the inn. But if not up early, I will not delay the party's departure.)
Aelyn isn´t convinced the townsfolk were impressed with his tale although Skorli at least seemed amused. As probably the last person to leave the the pub Aelyn sleeps heavily in his own room dreaming of gold magic and fair maidens. The next morning he turns up a bit late for breakfast, still tired it seems, but after three cups of strong hot coffee his adventuring spirit is back. "I hope everyone slept well. Off to the ancient dwarven ruins then I guess." Aelyn says and readies himself for new adventures.
(I´ll just deduct a gold also covering a bar tab if that´s ok :-) I suppose there was a crude map showing the way to the ruins as well.)
Brikabrak pays for room and board that night, savoring his greasy meal. He chats with his compatriots a bit but leaves early to go to bed. In the morning, however, he can be found sleeping in a lump a few yards from the back door of the inn. He wakes up fairly early, re-blooms his crown of flowers, and grabs another bite to eat for breakfast. (-5 sp)
"So this trips quite a bit farther, eh? We oughta be there around evening. Hopefully we don't run into any more of these beasts. I've never seen one before... I wonder if the dragon pushed it out of its lair? Did you all see the wounds on its sides? Dragons bring nothing but trouble... What would have been content to keep to its home is now hunting old ladies in their own homes!"
Aelyn listens attentively to Brikabrak. "Yes, the wounds, the dragon you think. Maybe we should hope so. If the beast survived a fight with the dragon then we should too right? But first things first I guess. Lovely flowers by the way Brikabrak, I didn´t know your kind had such green fingers." Aeyln says smiling warmly at the kobold while taking another sip of coffee.
Whenever Zalmanni arrives, Skorli asks to see his bow. Looking it over and seeing it to be of fine quality, Skorli bows his head and invokes a divine blessing on the weapon, the Blessing of the Forge. (it is now a magical +1 bow for the remainder of today, until our next long rest).
"Thanks, Aelyn." He subconsciously fusses with the placement of the crown before continuing on. "I can make one for you too, if you want." He waits for Aelyn's answer and either makes a crown from local flower or doesn't, once they leave for their trip.
While still in the inn, he turns to Joslyn and says, "So Joslyn, why are you so interested in some old ruins?"
"I would appreciate that Brikabrak, thank you." Aelyn answers the green fingered kobold. "So how do I look?" he asks as he has placed the floral crown on his head. "Perhaps we should all have one? The Phandalin Phabulous Phloral Phive perhaps." he adds smiling widely again.
"Well,"Joslyn starts. "I'm an archeologist. I've grown up around ruins for the most part. Getting to go in and explore them is something my friends and I really enjoy doing. Though... right now there are some... complications."
"Oh, I´m sorry to hear that Joslyn." Aelyn says compassionately joining the conversation. "What kind of complications would that be? Perhaps we could help you with removing those complications?"
Skorli you get up a bit early and go to the shrine. The shrine in dedicated to Tymora the goddess of luck and good fortune. The temple is empty but you leave after giving it a look.
The map under the job board is marked with both your last quest and the one with the ruins. The ruins are about 15 miles away so you could probably reach them by late afternoon if you leave now.
Casually doing card tricks with his deck while listening to Joslyn, Aelyn suddelny feels a surge of eldritch power course through his body. "Yes, now I most certainly feel ready for another adventure. Shall we go?"He asks the others and prepares to leave for the dwarven ruins.
(Wow all of you have been busy while I was at work!!!! I'm US central time (GMT -5 I believe). Hope I don"t hold things up too much, time for me to play catch up)
Zal looks on while Skorli blesses his bow. "Thank you, Skorli." He then heads to get something to eat, listens to Aelyn for a bit before excusing himself to head to his room and check his gear to get it ready for the following day. While checking his gear making mental notes to pick up another bundle of arrows since two had flown off that day and to see if he could find some studded leather armor. His had switched from his usual set of studded leather to his father's old chain shirt but it just didn't feel right on him. He had noticed it when he first put it on but had chalked it up to not being used to the armor and that it would get better after "breaking in" the armor. After several weeks it still hadn't gotten any better and while he'd have liked to hang on to the armor for sentimental value, he'd need every advantage he could find if they were going up against a dragon. "Needs must...." he mutters to himself before turning in for the night.
Zal rises early, but late enough that the kitchen would be open when he comes down from his room. After a quick bite he heads to the place(s) he'd likely find arrows and armor hoping to get those issues taken care of before the rest of the party rises. He returns from his errands (DMs choice on their success or failure) spies the rest of the group at the table and joins them.
(Skorli blessed Zalmanni's bow at breakfast, so you are good for the day).
Skorli returns to the inn in time to bid his companions a good morning, bless the bow, and purchase a meal of bread and cheese to eat on the journey. (-1sp)
"Top o' the morning, Phivers! Time to move out, there's a dragon out there, and my people are in danger, no time to lose!"

You all get back to town easy enough. Adabra's frail body slows you down by about an an hour. You arrive just before nightfall.
What would you like to do?

You learn from speaking to the barkeep that his name is Toblen and that he runs the Inn. He charges 3 silver for a room and 1 silver for a meal.
