Aurelius is going to take a risk.  He will bow low to the ground, wings outstretched, in a position of submission, as he would to a liege lord.

The dragon seems to slow, watching Aurelius curiously. He speaks again, and again you do not understand the words.  But then a third time, now hovering quite close, he says, "Who are you?" the masculine voice says in Common.  He sounds quite curious about you. 

Suddenly, Aurelius becomes aware of a flaw in his plan.  He cannot speak. He tries to croak out his name (not sure how successful that would be).  He points a wing-tip at his throat and gives an eagle-shrug.

"Interesting," says the dragon, now circling around you slowly.  "You cannot speak?"  He pauses a moment to look at you. "Magic. Yes, you seem to have magic about you - transmutation. Follow me, and perhaps I will help you." 

Aurelius bobs his head up and down, and launches himself into the air, ready to follow the dragon.  Hopefully, one of his companions on the ground is watching, and can see what is happening.

(OOC maybe Aelric can follow at a distance?)

If Elyria spots Aurelius following the dragon, she screeches in desperation, jumping around and flapping her wings, looking between the dragon and Rahkeshi.

(Where is Aelric by the way?)

The dragon flies along towards what was Leilatha's fortress.  It circles several times before flying low over the courtyard then back into the air.  It seems to search a moment longer before finding a landing spot in a secluded area amongst sune trees just beyond the entrance gate.  

Aurelius, flying after at a distance, sees Following, you see a very large troll step out to greet the dragon.  They speak just briefly and the troll's form changes to that of an Eladrin. He quickly puts on clothes matching those of Lady Sylmare's people that were provided by the dragon.  The dragon is then back into the air. 

Rahkeshi shakes her owl head, transforming Flynt and Elyria to Giant Owls.  She then flies up towards the treetops where she can spot Aurelius flying off with the dragon.  She tries to get the attention of her other two companions, then takes off flying low over the tops of the trees, trying to keep where she can see the two as they fly off. 

(Elyria and Flynt have some time to fully catch up to the dragon flying into the air where I ended.  Aurelius too can interject if there is subverting you'd like to do.)

Aurelius lands not far from the Troll/Eladrin and cocks his head at the creature.

Insight roll to see if he can understand what has happened (shapechanging troll? polymorph spell? An eladrin that was disguised as a troll and has now returned to true form?) 22

Both Elyria, now in Giant Owl shape, and Aelric will try to follow Rahkeshi's lead for now.

Flynt sees Aurelius follow the dragon and notices Elyrias frantic antics. Assuming she wants to follow, Flynt takes off after the dragon and the Eagle.

Aurelius arrives just as the now Eladrin finished speaking to the dragon. You do not understand what he says to the dragon, nor the dragon's response.

Looking at you, the dragon says.  "Come. We have some distance to cover." 

This is just before he pushes himself back up into the air.  Elyria, Flynt, and Rahkeshi can see him taking off once again.  They're still fairly far away. 

Aurelius will delay returning to the air, continuing to gaze at the "Eladrin".  He screeches at him, and looks back and forth from the dragon to the disguised troll.

(So I guess with that poor insight roll, no further knowledge was gained?)

(Sorry, I did overlook that bit about Insight. I'm not sure Insight is going to tell you much, even had the roll been better. The Eladrin seems to be acting as an Eladrin. You didn't see any evidence of illusion. If it's magic, which it seems it must be in some way,  you aren't really sure what sort it might be without more investigating. )

The dragon is flying off. If he hears Aurelius' screeching, he gives no sign. 

The other 3 are some ways away still. At the moment you aren't obvious to the dragon, but you're not sure how much cover you'd have if you keep following.

Is the Troll/Eladrin reacting to Aurelius at all?  Does Aurelius recognize the Eladrin as anyone he has seen before?  Does he wear the costume of  Sylmare's followers?

The Eladrin is looking at you, yes. He seems to be getting annoyed at your screeching. 

The dragon appeared to have had clothing matching Sylmare's people that he gave to the Eladrin after assuming that form.  So he is now dressed as one of her followers. 

You don't specifically recall seeing him before. 

Realizing you are not following, the dragon starts to turn back towards you. 

Aurelius will take wing and circle over the Eladrin, hoping to signal to his companions that this is something they should investigate.  He will remain here until the dragon returns.

"What are you doing?" the dragon demands. "I should get back without delay. You must come along now."

Aurelius turns to follow the dragon, but as he makes one last pass over the Eladrin, he tries to aim a release of bird-droppings at the disguised troll, in the hopes of delaying the creature until his companions can catch up to him.  He then wings after the dragon, not quite at top speed.

Improvised ranged weapon: (assuming he is proficient with pooping) Attack: 18 Damage: 2 humiliation points.

(How much of the interaction do we three see? Do we close the distance in time to see the."troll" walk off? Can we see Arelious flying off?)
