Randal looks back toward the inn. “I still don’t trust Sier or that tree. Let’s take her back home, maybe Leacy or Ireen will be there. She will be in good hands and maybe we can learn more about what is happening.” It will also keep me away from the inn and it’s visitors he thinks but does not add to the others. He turns and carries Dromi back toward her house, hoping the others follow along.
Carrying a person is hard, and Dromi isn't exactly skinny and light. But together you manage to carry her well enough. Walking like this is slow, so it takes time to reach her house. Perhaps due to the early hour, you don't see anyone on your way, so nobody saw you either; probably.
Arriving at Dromi and Leacy's house, you notice that the stable is still empty, and it looks no different than you last saw it. But as you're most likely intent on getting in and laying Dromi down - taking the weight off of you - you head to the door. If you knock or call first, there is no answer. If you try to open the door, it is not locked. You can walk in, but the house is quiet.
Lyla:
(OOC: First off, hope you're following. I assumed you'd walk with the other two.)
Upon passing near the stable, you feel a "pull" towards it. It's not strong, and you can easily ignore it, but you notice that if you let your attention wander, you quickly find yourself looking at the stable and the area around it. This effect is weak at first, and intensifies as you get close, but weakens if you walk away.
after knocking quietly, Tess opens the door, and looks at Randall. “I guess lets bring her in… is anyone here? Dromi is hurt- we are bringing her home..”. she calls out quietly in the dark houseZ
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Randal struggles to carry Dromi’s body through the door and back to her room, adding his voice to Tess and calling out as he enters the house. “Leacy! Ireen! Is anyone here? We are bringing Dromi home” As they move through the house, he keeps one eye open for any signs of a struggle, signs of the others, or anything out of the ordinary. “Where did everyone go?” he mutters to Tess. Perception: 18.
Lyla goes with the others, agreeing with their course of action. As they all walk through the house, if it seems like no one is there, she tells Randal and Tess that she's going to have another look around outside.
Lyla then walks back out of the house, beginning by walking towards the stable to inspect it further.
tess helps lay dromi on a bed and brushes her hair from her face as the others look around. “It’s such a mystery, I am sorry Dromi we have not solved it yet.”. she says sadly.
Tess and Randal's calls remain unanswered. It appears that the house is empty after all. The house seems as organised as you last saw it, both the main hall and Dromi's room, and nothing outstanding catches your eye. After laying Dromi on her bed, Randal carefully inspects the house again but finds no signs of struggle or anything unusual. Tess, meanwhile, remains by Dromi for the moment, perhaps taking off the leather sandals Dromi wears and covering her with a blanket. Lyla heads outside.
Randal:
Even though you did not notice anything extraordinary in the house, thanks to your high Perception check, you realise - retrospectively - that you have noticed Lyla was already looking for something near the stable on your way to the house, though you saw nothing yourself.
Lyla:
Outside, the closer she gets to the stables, the stronger the pull she feels. Soon, she realises the pull isn't to the stables themselves, but to something right next to them. Eventually, she finds herself staring at a spot on the ground, where she sees nothing of note. Suddenly, she realises it is where the Halfling's footprint they saw yesterday must have been. By now, it is gone, covered by dirt blown by the wind or by people who walked nearby.
Just then, the source of the pull is shifted. No longer is it by the stables, but now, a few feet away. Leading away from the house. Again, Lyla cannot sense anything specific attracting her attention, and yet she feels the attraction.
Tess:
The others have gone already, and Tess is left alone with Dromi in the room. You sit on the edge of the bed for just another moment, watching her sleeping peacefully. Then, deciding she should probably join the others, Tess stands up. Or at least, she's about to, when suddenly Dromi grasps her hand. She's still asleep, and her hold on Tess' hand is weak, so Tess could easily pull her hand away. Then, still in her sleep it seems, she speaks. It isn't a continuous, coherent sentence, and you're pretty sure she's talking in her sleep and nothing more. "Don't go... haven't found... Leacy is... potatoes... Levortus couldn't..." The gaps between each phrase are a few seconds long. After that last one, Dromi's fingers loosen their grip on Tess' arm, and she seems to resume a deep sleep.
Tess calls out to Randall and Lyla, loud enough to be heard if they are close, but not so loud as to disturb the neighborhood: “Randall and Lyla- she spoke!”*. She looks down at Dromi with concern. “We will solve this, Dromi”.
Realizing that Lyla was looking for something outside by the stables, and finding nothing of interest inside himself, Randal follows Lyla outside. “What is it? Did you see or hear something?” He helps Lyla search around the stable and yard.
Hearing Tess, he returns back inside. “What, she spoke?” That was new. None of the others had done that to his knowledge. “What did she say? Any clues to what happened?”
Lyla stands outside the stable, slightly confused and looking into the distance. "Yes, something like that," she replies to Randal before heading inside to talk to Tess as well.
"Don't go?" Lyla echoes back what Tess has repeated from Dromi. "No, that doesn't make much sense to me. But I did find something, sort of. I think I know which direction we should go in to find more information. I didn't find any actual evidence of it, but I remember the footprint we saw near the stables yesterday, and I think I can sense which way the possible thief might have gone."

“Leacy is potatoes?”Randal screws his face up in thought “That doesn’t make any sense. Was it something she was doing when she struck down, or just babbling? Maybe if we can find Leacy she can tell us more. There is also a new name. Levortus. Does that mean anything to anyone?” He looks over at Tess and Lyla. As Lyla describes her lead, he gestures her forward. “Lead on then, let’s see if we can find this thief.”
“do you want me to come, or should i stay here with her? also- that name seems familiar.. someone may have warned me about that name..before the dreams ..”. her voice trails off
When Lyla and Randal rush back to the room, Dromi is sound asleep. Her chest slowly rises and falls with each breath.
Lyla:
If you choose to lead the others, Lyla will keep feeling spot after spot as before. Most of the time, she won't be able to spot anything where her attention is drawn. Additionally, the distances will increase gradually, reaching even 100m (~330 feet) at times. Randal and Tess won't be able to see anything either, other than Lyla leading them. So, if she does, please describe how they see Lyla acting. If you do, I'll reveal where Lyla is lead to.
Tess:
Just to make sure, Tess did hear that name before. Whether you choose to RP that she remembers it or not, or whether she tells the others or not, is your choice.
To remind you, it was Temke. The words he said, if Tess got them right, are: "But, beware the name Levortus."
“Temke”. “i was told to beware the name Levortus by Temke”. Tess mutters suddenly, memories flooding back. “I had asked if i should be careful in this place- in particular I was worried about any followers of… well- the other goddess. You remember I grew up in a temple of Oruthria- they warned me to watch for…. them”
(i knew it was familiar but thanks for the reminder! been a while)
"Levortus? I've never heard that name before, but will listen out for it now. What you do is up to you Tess; more people might be better if this thief is dangerous - and if we find them - but you may prefer to protect Dromi and listen in case she says more. Either way, I'm going to follow this trail now and see where it leads."
Lyla begins to walk off, and if Randal and/or Tess follow, they see her pause every so often before continuing confidently in the direction that seems right to her.
[OOC: Sorry for the delay again. I was actually looking out for a notification this time but must have missed it or didn't get it for some reason. I'm going away for a few weeks now but hopefully can pick this up again after that!]

Tess, anxiously agrees. “Bringing her home is for the best. Hopefully someone can help care for her”
