Tess says- “ Sier was a good host, if a little …er… eccentric and the rooms were comfortable. But we each had strange dreams there- well, more like nightmares. As for where to sleep- the floor is good for me.” She looks at Leacy and says “Hi Leacy, hope you are well, good to see you again” she has an extra gentle sympathetic tone in her voice,
“No, no. No quarrel with Sier, nothing like that at all”Randal replies to Dromi, maybe a little too quickly “And the floor is fine, I truly appreciate your hospitality. It’s just that the inn left me feeling a little uneasy after the dreams. One in particular, a young girl with dark hair who had lost her parents, perhaps in a fire. She was very demanding. Has anyone else ever mentioned anything about dreams after staying there?”
Insight on both Dromi and Leacy to see how they react to the story of the dream. 15.
There are entirely too many people in this room to be comfortable. And so Ri just shifts awkwardly. She had taken the offered hand and given a curt introduction of herself before stepping back. Her hands fold behind her back, falling back into a resting stance, and she fights back a grimace. Remove her armor? Yeah. Right. She's sleeping in it at this point. Her eyes dart back and forth as the others all talk back and forth. Apparently the others have all been friendly during their time here, if they've already met these folks.
Listening to the priestess, she gives a jerky little nod. "Floor's fine," she says, repeating the others in a gruffer tone. Her fingers twitch toward the strap of her weapon, to fidget with and give her something to do, but she refrains. Probably best not to set anyone off in here. Especially if they're going to be able to sleep here rather than the inn.
"Oh, Ireen? It's great to meet you. I've heard so much about you." Lyla smiles, looking very interested to continue talking, but stops herself. "I understand it's late though, and I wouldn't want to keep you too long. Perhaps we can talk tomorrow, or some time later?"
After that, she listens closely to the conversation about dreams in the inn.
"Strange dreams?" Dromi asks curiously. "Nightmares? That doesn't sound very good. I wonder if Sier knows about that, but I doubt he does. I remember we talked to him about dreams once, he said he has none. Something about Elves sleeping but not really sleeping... can't say I really understood what he was saying though." She paces for a bit in the small room after hearing more details about the dream, thinking. At that moment, for some reason, she seems more a priestess than she did until now. As if wiser, perhaps more mature.
Meanwhile, Leacy looks up, towards Tess. "Hello, I am well. Thank you for asking." Her soft voice sounds weaker than usual, fragile even, and she quickly looks away from everyone again.
"Talk tomorrow?" Ireen asks. "Umm, I suppose I'm free. However, I wonder how you might have heard of me? I didn't know I was famous." It sounds like she's not sure if she should be flattered or alarmed. "So uh... sure. I ah... ask Randal to show you the way to my house tomorrow?"
"No." Dromi finally concludes. "I haven't heard anyone mentioning such dreams before. Neither after staying in the Living Tree inn or in any other occasion. Try to sleep here tonight. Tell me if you had any nightmares when you wake up?"
Lyla:
(Your roll doesn't show for me, so I rolled for you on your character sheet, which resulted in 13. You can check it if you wish to.)
Lyla notices that Ireen keeps looking away from her. Well, it would be more correct to say that she is looking towards something else, because Lyla feels she keeps looking in the same direction. Something - or someone - behind her. However, she does not manage to trace who that person is, and nobody seems to be looking back at her. When she said "I should go now," she was lingering on whatever it is she's looking at for a few moments.
Randal:
The two do not seem to react in any unexpected way after they hear the story. Well, Dromi doesn't. Leacy doesn't react to it at all. The only thing that catches Randal's attention happens when he mentions the parents dying in a fire. At that moment, Dromi glances briefly towards Leacy. Leacy does not appear to react to that either.
Tess says”I hope we don’t have dreams tonight. Have you ever heard of people having the same dreams? well, I had a long day working for that gnome, so I’m pretty tired. I’ll sleep over here in the corner if that’s ok… good night everyone!” She makes a place to sleep for herself with her bedroll and provided blankets, and promptly falls asleep. ***
Randal is surprised as Ireen asks him to show Lyla to her house, blushing slightly he quickly recovers and stammers “I ..uh..would be happy to, I am sure that I can remember the way.”
Turning toward Lyla, he introduces himself with a small bow “I have seen you in the inn, but we have not formally met. I am at your service.”
He thanks Dromi again for her hospitality and promises to share any information if the dreams reoccur, then settles down in the corner away from the door for the evening. He lies awake for awhile, listening to the others fall asleep and just a little worried on what dreams may come in the night ahead.
The fact that no one else has even heard of these dreams before does not sit well in Ri's stomach. There's a grimace on her face as she listens to the others, staying back from the conversations. Perhaps they'd get more answers tomorrow, if she stuck with them. Maybe.
Honestly, Ri's not entirely eager to sleep here, surrounded by so many others. She does position herself between the doors and the others without thinking much about it. She slowly and methodically removes her weapons and gear, laying them out beside her - though her armor stays on. She's not taking any chances after everything that's happened since coming near this blasted village.
"Okay, I'll see you tomorrow then!" Lyla happily answers Ireen.
She nods at Randal in acknowledgement.
As the others settle down to sleep, Lyla waits until Ireen leaves. Then, she quietly mentions to anyone still up that she is going for a quick walk before bed.
DM:
Lyla quickly follows Ireen out, only waiting a few seconds after Ireen leaves so that she can steathily follow. She wants to know what/who Ireen is looking at, so she particularly keeps an eye on that area.
Lyla walks to the door and opens it, but after looking outside for a moment, seems to regret and closes it. Turning back into the room, she looks towards Leacy, her expression seems almost as if she's searching for something; yet it doesn't appear as if she finds it - whatever that is.
"Well then... ah... I'll leave the room for you to get some sleep before tomorrow," Dromi says as she backs into the house. "If you need anything..." She pulls Leacy up and closer to her. "We'll be here," she points from the opening to the right, "in the room to the left. Oh, and Lyla, would you come with me? My room is just next to Leacy's, I'll just get you some clean sheets and then the room's yours."
Dromi and Leacy then leave the living room, allowing the gathering of outsiders to get comfortable and ready to sleep - as comfortable as the small room allows, anyway. Dromi brings clean sheets to her room and makes the bed for Lyla to sleep in, then joyfully hops into Leacy's room. "Good night everyone, may Oruthia protect you in your sleep and drive away any bad dreams tonight." She calls into the house, then closes the door to Leacy's room behind her.

The four wake up. They're still sleepy, thinking they could probably sleep an hour more and no harm will be done. Sure, they don't need that hour, but on the other hand, when something wakes you up unnaturally, you never feel the same as when you wake up naturally. There's light outside, though it is an early morning's light. The sun couldn't have risen too long ago. Thinking back on their night, it seems all was normal. Dreams or no dreams, pleasant or not, they were normal, at least. No dark-haired girls in paintings, and if there were, it certainly wasn't... like that time. A normal dream, that's all. Hold up. The sound that woke them up... they can still hear it. It wasn't their imagination or a remnant of a fading dream. The faint, though undeniably existent voice of someone crying. A woman, to be exact. Moreover, it gets gradually louder, from barely noticeable to about as loud as normal speech for most people. Then, the source of the sound opens the door and dashes inside. It is Leacy - barefooted and tears running down her cheeks as she swiftly passes by the merely half-awake group, only by a miracle avoiding stepping on anyone. As she runs by the room where Lyla was sleeping, she cries out in a voice not much louder than a normal speech for a normal person - which is very loud for Leacy, as some of you know already: "Dromi! Dromi!" She opens the door to her room, as you all can hear. "It's Mika! She's gone! Someone broke the gate to the stable and took her!"
Tess jumps up and pulls her soft boots on, and says “how can I help?” She grabs her off white cloak and pulls it on over her dress, ready to go outside and look for clues..
Lyla hurriedly pulls together her supplies when she hears Leacy's distressed message. Already forming a list of suspects in her head, she steps out of Dromi's room.
"Quick, show us where-" Lyla demands, already halfway out the door to see if there is any sign of a thief still around.
Those who approach Leacy's room find the door open as she left it running through just a moment ago. Inside, Dromi is holding Leacy in an empathic, consoling hug. Her face to the door, she sees Lyla and Tess when they speak up. "The stable is outside, it shares one of its walls with the wall on your right when you exit the front door." Dromi directs the two and runs her hand through Lyla's hair. "Are you sure someone broke in? Perhaps you forgot to lock it and Mika just went out?" However, even as she says that you can hear in her voice that she doesn't believe that could ever happen.
"I'm sure!" Leacy answers, still sobbing. "I saw the lock and it's undoubtedly broken!"
Randal leaps up at the noise, pulls on his boots and follows Lyla and Tess out to check the stables. He encourages Lyla on her search “Look sharply now, less this reminds me of the tale of the unbroken stallion who could not be tamed or stabled.”

(I realise I forgot to include the following before.) The 27th of Tevek's Jurisdiction over the spring (ninth day of the third ninday, summer solstice tomorrow).
Going out the front door, Tess, Randal and Lyla see it truly is rather early in the morning. Walking along the wall to their right, past the corner, they see the small wooden stable sharing its right wall (from their perspective at the moment) with the house. The gate is open towards the outside, facing away from the house.
The stable is small and quite notably empty. Almost a cube, about three and a half metres (~12 feet) the length of each side. Fixed on the back wall, which is the house's stone wall, is a water trough with rather clean water. On the left side, a manger that's only half-full. On the right side, a hanger where the saddle, reins and other gear must have been hung, now empty.
Tess:
One who does not know what they search for will inevitably find themselves stumped as the clues lie before them, yet go unnoticed. Tess feels like there's something there, but she can't quite point it out.
(Simply getting good rolls is not enough... usually. Tess might notice the clues, but since she's not looking for them, she might not realise they are clues. I'll let you roll a Wisdom check for intuition, perhaps guiding Tess towards the clues? Alternatively, you can specify what Tess is searching for, and I'll consider your last roll (unless you wish to roll again).)
Randal:
The horse is not around, and neither is anyone but Tess, Lyla and Randal himself.
Lyla:
As she doesn't notice anything that's out of place, Lyla turns to investigate the lock. The lock appears... well, Lyla can't be sure. It doesn't look broken, at least not from the outside, but Lyla fails to determine whether it truly was messed with or not.
(Yes, should have clarified a little -Tess will be looking for footprints, any items that were dropped in the hay, and at the lock to see how it was opened, but she’s never done this type of searching before, just read about it)
With some hay strewn on the floor, and a lot of hoofsteps, it is hard to find any footprints at all, and even then, it'd be pointless to discover Leacy's or Dromi's footsteps, right? However, eventually, she notices one that was left just outside the stable. It seems Humane, or Humanoid, at the very least. It is small - too small to belong to even Leacy, for sure - but also proportionally wide. Also, by the looks of it, the one who left it didn't wear a shoe or wore one that was either thin enough or the same shape of their leg. Tess met people of all races when she grew up in the orphanage. Without a doubt, this one could only belong to one certain race - Halflings.
"Well this is certainly strange," Lyla says to the others, quietly enough so Leacy cannot hear. "I don't see anything particularly out of the ordinary, other than the stable being empty, of course. Have you found anything?"
Tess says- “ Sier was a good host, if a little …er… eccentric and the rooms were comfortable. But we each had strange dreams there- well, more like nightmares.
