Mordekai looks up at the giant skeleton that keeps taking swings at him. He smiles, bows deeply to the monstrosity, and as he reaches the deepest part of his bow, he disappears and immediately re-appears next to Zendrak.
(Is Mordekai aware of his Hex still being...attached...to Auril? Would he normally notice whether his hex had been 'freed up' by the target dying, or not? My turn is finished either way, I wouldn't transfer it to anything else at this point - just curious)
With a bow, and a flourish of his flickering cape, Mordekai vanishes and appears next to the others. Though he isn't immediately aware if his Hex is still attached to Auril, he knows he can try to move it to someone else and sees if it takes. That said....her physical form that he hecked, the ice maiden....did get destroyed, so he still won't be certain if it just was released from her other forms death or not.
Regardless, as the creatures threaten to swarm the group, Zendrak casts another spell, divorcing all magic from a sphere of reality around him. Thus done, he steps into the field, forming a breach which you can all move through. Once done, he steps further in and the field is once again sealed. The creatures swarm the invisible field, slamming bodies against it, unleashing blasts of cold and undeath, and evil glares, but nothing can penetrate the field and soon your left with a crowd of deadly ice creatures just milling about on the far side of the field. You watch the top of the tower, but no sign of the Ice Queen can be seen, and wether she has been slain, or fled, the result currently is the same. Icy zombies occasionally scratch nails down the wall....wolves occasionally unleash a blast of cold at it....but otherwise it would seem you are safe for the time being.
Toc's twin, Tic, calms strolling up casually, looking about at everything through the field. They seem to share a glance but say nothing. Then Toc looks to Zendrak, "Well, a most interesting ritual. Thank you for showing it to me. I am eager to go find some bones of my own back in the Mythallar chamber with which to attempt the spell....and then of course, if you are still willing, several hours of study and writing for you to teach me the intricacies of casting it."
Zendrak nods to Toc, then looks to the group, "If you are all safe, we shall return to our book work...."

Just before Zendrak moves through and the field re-seals, Mordekai will look for his pet enemy skeleton again, and attempt to transfer Hex onto it. Assuming it's also attempting to follow them, once the field is sealed, he'll look it in the eye, repeat the same bow and flourish before turning his back on the field and looking to the rest of the group.
(So I guess Mordekai's testing whether Auril's physical form is at least temporarily destroyed. He assumed it won't be permanent, but hopefully he'll get a sense of whether she's still up in the tower seething at them. Also, to clarify, does that mean Tic and Zendrak are heading back, and Toc is staying inside the force field to go to the Mythallar chamber?)
Kari will move 5 feet inside the barrier, turn around and look back at the crowd of hostile creatures, and hold an attack in case anything moves within her reach before the barrier is there again.
((Not that she might notice when it does, between rage, her injuries, and the barrier being invisible and all))

Shaking the lingering wisps of cold off her cloak, Mal turns to the group, "So when I was encased in that crystal, what were you guys doing? I would have been just as happy for you to have dealt with Auril, you don't always need to leave it to me to finish off the big bad guy, not that she was that troublesome I guess when you get down to it." Then she turns around and moves further into the dome to see how the bookish people are doing.
Tic scratches his head, "Well, I am going to try to get back to the other group. I will leave you all to your endeavours." He nods and then the elf wizard walks briskly off.
His twin, Toc, looks to the group, "I believe Zendrak and I still have a full day of arcane studies ahead of us. I am planning on fetching a couple remains from the Mythallar chamber, but, otherwise, may I inquire as to your goals? Did you complete your task? Is there anything you need assistance with?"
Zendrak looks up, "Oh, yes, did you destroy that ring you were wanting to get rid of? Are we free to pursue the Lich Phalactery's?"

"We were managing, then she tossed you out a window and all plans went to shi*. If any of her minions had picked you up in that think then odds are you wouldn't even died and the ring, theirs. Turned to defense at that point to mitigate damage," Kurik responded.
"And no," Kurik said rounding on Zendrak. "Trying to smash the ring broke both the hammer and anvil. Did get some visions though. There is someone who can destroy it. Beautiful lady, not sure if she is mortal or God but my guess is she is the opposite of winter so maybe a summer goddess, demi-goddess? True God would probably burned our eyes out."
Kari stands there looking at Mal, very bloodied. "Standing around, waiting for you to get yourself out of there and save us" She says very flatly. She watches Mall walk off for a few seconds, then follows her as there aren't many choices for where to go
Kurik stared at Zendrik. "I don't know for sure. Mal swung the hammer to destroy the ring and now the ring knows of Auril and wants to be with her. She has prolonged winter here, from what I hear the ring wants an everlasting winter. Those two, together, is not a good idea. I feel the time table, depends on Mal. Mal's arm is already back and frost burnt, If it reaches the chest... probably game over."
Mal stops and her shoulders slump, "Both duties need to get done, I am not sure what happened to Auril, but I will assume WE," as she looks to Kari with a nod of her head, "possibly took her out, permanently, I doubt it, but at least for the time being. She will come hunting for us, that I have no doubt. So why don;t we focus on the Lich's for now and then deal with Auril when she pops up."
Zendrak nods, "An excellent and logic choice. I shall spend the next day with Toc, and the other woman from Shade, explaining the process of tracking them. Then we shall go."
The sound of the undead throngs drones on as they slow gather about the edges of the field that surround the central tower. Their eyes, or eyeless faces, track the group, but...mostly Mal, as you move about within the field.
Do you do anything aside from wait for a day?

Kari will spend a good portion of the time looking for something to burn so she can start a fire and ideally keep it going through the night. Depending on what is available she might wait until night to try and create warmth that way.
Mal reluctantly will attune to the ring once more and talk with the group if they have anyway to find more information about this summer god and a possible way to continue to fight off the attacks from the ring and Auril, if she ever returns. As adamant Mal is about destroying the ring, sooner rather later she will fail in her struggle with the ring and when she does, she has a feeling the ring will make her attack the group, as that has happened several times with the previous owner.
Mal attempts to attune to the ring, only to find herself unable to. The ring seems to resist her attempts and she feels its waspish, angry emotions lashing about at her attempt to destroy it. As such, Mal is left feeling the sting of the cold weather in this massive ice locker.
Kari collects enough detritus to start a fire. There is no "day and night" here, since they're in a massive ice cave miles beneath the surface. She manages to get one going, the smoke puffing up from the garbage she's arranged, a flickering bright orange light and waves of heat providing some level of comfort.
Everyone can make Arcana or History checks (your choice, but only one check per person) for information about this summer goddess.

Mal puts the ring back on her finger and just plops on the floor for a bit, then gets up after about 30 minutes mumbling obscenities under her breath, I cannot WAIT to destroy you, you wretched evil little thing.
She paces back and forth a bit cussing the entire time at the ice clod lump in her fist. She finally calms down a bit and then wraps the ring in a piece of cloth and shoves it into one of her inside pockets for safe keeping.
From the vision you received, Mal is pretty confident that what you all witnessed was a place in the domain of the Fey wild known as the Summer Court. Where the Summer Queen...or something like that, holds court and rules over the Seelie. Something like that. She doesn't know how to get there, but...there are apparently lots of natural places where the real world and the fey wild ....connect. Both worlds overlap but in some places it's weak enough that you can pass over. Though she knows that doing so can have weird effects, like you can spend a day there and only a minute will pass here...or vice versa....or some people have memory issues. It's not a straight forward thing. Planar magic may also help get there, who knows if it will have the same potential side effects.

Planar travel, Mal sighs, how far do we have to travel to get rid of this ring...Well at least if we go to another plane Auril can't follow us, well I hope she can't follow us, and at least maybe the snow horde outside won't be able to follow us either. Wonder if that group we talked with earlier has a way to send us to another plane, or if they even know how to send us to another plane. I can't believe I wish Badger was here so we could discuss this, what is wrong with me.
"Alright, so it looks like we have to wait here for Zendrak to finish,. and then depending on what he finds out we can wrap up the work he needs to accomplish and then maybe we can get Badger back and he might be able to help us get to this summer plane or whatever it is. That work with you lot?" Mal asks the group.
