Emra grins happily. (As do I. Maybe this means we won't all be murdered in our sleep.)

"Who are you? And what are the Prowlers? And can I just eat that bread? I'm really hungry." 

(Yeah, I figured you wouldn’t mind not dying ;)

”I am Meirleach, Patron goddess of thieves and tricksters. The Prowlers are terrible creatures that hunt for the thrill of hunting, and why settle for a piece of bread when you could feast?”

She says, as a table materializes, filled with all kinds of food and drink.

"Well, this is a welcome surprise. Though, I fear I must not partake, as I am a cleric of a different faith."

“Is that so? What faith do you serve?”

"I am a warrior priest and gauntlet-bearer of Torm, god of courage"

“Ah geez! The statue god is talking!”

Emra grins, "Nicking stuff always ends well. Here's the proof!"

She tucks in and then asks, "Can we take that key?" 

“Ah well, I guess I can’t pass up good food.” Sticks starts eating.

Sparks looks to the chief as they block the path out, but then her attention is pulled to the statue as it starts to speak. She grins then, amused by the reaction. "Not often you find a fun-loving god." She says frankly as she moves to the table. "Most gods are stuck-up and so touchy about little things like stealing from their shrines." She sits at the table and starts to eat. "It is nice to find one that has both a sense of humor and a pension for a little mischief."

"Ah, Torm, that old fool. I'm on good terms with him, you'll be fine for one meal. Besides, it's not a great idea to turn down the generosity of a god,"

Meirleach says, almost giggling a bit. Then, directed at Emra;

"Stealing does not always end well, as not all gods or goddesses are as forgiving as I, and most other deities would have smitten, smote, smited? Ah well, would have killed you on the spot. And no, you cannot have the keys. The candle chose you. It always burns, but whether or not that light is seen by others is up to you,

"Heh, my brother is one such example. Always going on and on about about his many temples, offerings, how holy his places are! BAH! A simple shrine is enough for me. And being the patron goddess of thieves, having a sense of humor is always good, and a little mischief,"

You could almost swear the statue winks at you after this.

Gobert relents, and settles down on the ground to munch on some bread.

Emra seems happy that she's found a god who seems to represent her entire world view. She does take the candle though. She tries to make it so that others can't see its flame. If that works she tries to make it so that only some of the party can see its flame. 

Does Sticks get anything from eating a lot

Emra starts stashing spare food into her pouch of holding.

Gobert will cram a cheese wheel down his breastplate for a snack for later.
