Varan evades the acid. Hearing the Gith's explanation, he swims to the final painting, the Helmed Horror. But the colors... he doesn't know which colors correspond to which immunity! Unsure, and with time running out, he spits out the last of his air. "Poison! Negative! Force!" And a stream of bubbles. With his last act, he pulls what should be the obvious green lever, for poison.

Seeing Kayleth about to drown Avarice makes a desperate play and unfolds a fine black cloth against the ceiling with the intention to let Keyleth breathe the air inside the portable hole.
(OOC: If this is possible Plum, asked about it earlier on discord but don't think I got any response. If he just wouldn't know if it works he will try it though.)
Paralyzed by indecision, Varan hesitates and doesn't pull the green lever at the painting of the Helmed Horror.

Keyleth's chest burns and her head is spinning and her vision is darkening, but she has enough time to do something so she's going to do it. She moves Mulligan's arm away from her, swims over to the second painting, and pulls the purple lever.
Varan reaches out towards the green lever - before remembering a green lever had already been pulled, and judging by the acid still searing your skin, it was a wise decision indeed.
Keyleth struggles and lifts the purple lever under the helmed horror. With a satisfying click, the purple lever remains in place - one of how many levers complete.
Wulgar follows with a tug on the black lever below the same. Another expected click follows - two levers under the Horror's image have been lifted.
Avarice, in the meanwhile, swims upwards and removes an item from his bag. Affixing it to the top of the ceiling, he pushes and utters a command - before feeling the ceiling give way to a pocket of fresh, oxygenated air.
Gazinoth, despite everything, pushes forth - Intelligence check to determine Gazinoth's actions: 20 - hearing Varan's words, Gazinoth swims through the waters and lifts the white-tinged lever. The lever holds in place - and within a splitsecond, the Horror's image fades, leaving blank stone behind.
Ragnar Intelligence check: 12 - figuring time is no longer of the essence after noticing Avarice's portal, Ragnar remains still, unwilling to risk further harm to the team.
Keyleth sees the portable hole, but it doesn't even matter anymore. It seems to be an insurmountable distance away, and all she can think is air but there's no air to breathe, and then the world goes black.
Round 2: Just as Avarice opens the air pocket above the Vorax flutters up into the portable hole, giggling as he looks down at the people drowning down below him.
Round 3: Avarice sees Keyleth go limp in the water and desperately tries to bring her to the air pocket he created in the roof, swimming down and dragging her up with all the strength he can muster. Athletics if needed: 6 Lucky reroll 2 :-p
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Wulgar feels strength raging through his body as he sees Keyleth go unconscious and sees Avarice’s failed attempt to grab her. He swims down and grabs her, putting her head up into the hole where there is air, hopefully reviving her.

A wizard is never late, nor is he early, he arrives precisely when he means to.
Mulligan swims up and climbs into the hole, gasping for breath once he can safely do so... Looking about he shrugs and suggests "There's really no reason to risk more than any one of us at a time then, is there? I'd suggest we all pause up here where there is air and one at a time swim down a pull the levers we agree on. That way if there are... dire results... The rest of us are safely here and well aired and ready to move in for a rescue mission..."
Noticing there are now some legs hanging out near where the ceiling of the room should be, Varan will disengage from his conflict with the levers and swim up to investigate.
"Is this that portable hole of your's Avarice? Brilliant."

"Yes, I admit I have never used it like this before Varan."Avarice answers with a smirk while treading water, his head in the portable hole. "Don't mind the valuables you see in here, but I guess they are the reason I'm here in the first place." He finishes grimly. "So, let's take our time then and try to figure out which levers to pull. This extradimensional space should easily hold enough oxygen for us until we figure that out. In fact, if I'm not mistaken we should likely survive pulling all the wrong levers before pulling the right ones."
Keyleth's eyes open and she gasps. "Bloody hells, thought I was done for. I owe you one." She gets herself out of Wulgar's grasp, treading water. "Have we got a plan?"
Wulgar waits his turn, comes up for a quick gulp of air, says, "Let's pull one at a time, I was going to pull the pink one next." They gather their strategy to pull the levers in succession.

A wizard is never late, nor is he early, he arrives precisely when he means to.
With the well-timed employment of the Portable Hole, the group takes turns surfacing and resting inside the cramped, extradimensional area. The process is exerting and exhausting - but everyone is able to comfortably breathe enough for Avarice and Gazinoth's guidance, instructing which levers to pull after the situation of oxygen has been sorted.
The third lever on the Allip's portrait is flipped up without harm. With a final click - this one resonating through the flooded chamber more than the other - the last lever is flipped into place. A sudden wave of gravity immediately follows; the floor below you opens up as you feel yourselves falling, almost as if through a drain. Water envelops you again before, somehow, you splash down on the room you first entered, soaking and shivering from the plunge. The air and room is dry - and even after gaining your bearings, you're not quite sure how you entered the room in the first place.
Four of the six torches in the room are ablaze - scarlet, green, violet, and the newest, a shimmering blue. Gazinoth holds two gems - one an opalescent, pearly white, and another, a black-speckled orange.
Gazinoth chokes and splutters out some water. "I almost faded from consciousness. The feeling was wonderful...where to next?" he speaks, the latter part uttered almost sadly.
Keyleth wrings out her braid. "It's really not that wonderful," she remarks to Gazinoth. "Fairly miserable, actually. Anyone got any thoughts on what either of those two might entail?"
Wulgar coughs and splutters, sitting on the ground, then jumps up. "Don't be in a hurry to do yourself in Gazinoth. We still need your help to get out of this hell hole. How about we try the orange one with little black speckles? Anyone need a rest?"

"If we do decide for the black speckled one I would prefer a short rest to dry up and prepare first." Avarice says, sounding exhausted, a pool of water forming around him as he slumps down by a pillar.
(OOC: Guessing the black speckled one could possibly have something to do with necrotic energy and therefore setting Avarice's fiendish resilience to resist necrotic.)
"Rest is good..." Mulligan agrees. "The more the better, I say. Whatever is next is likely to take a lot out of us, so the more we have the better off we'll be.:
"I'm curious, Gazinoth. In your time here before you were sealed in that bottle, did you learn anything about the nature of our jailor? Any insight into its motivations or thought processes?"
