Illia looks at Kugan as he asks why she arrived in Duskport and she looks thoughtful trying to come up with a good reason. Soon she speaks up "I arrived here because I am just traveling, occasionally taking up some jobs to get paid but otherwise I don't stick around one place for too long." She then glances towards the waitress and says "I apologize on behalf of any of those around me for their disrespect towards the prices here, in my opinion everything is fairly cheaper here than it is most places and very delicious for such low prices."
***** listens to Illia with his hairy long arms folded on his chest, "you ain't got to apologize to a serving wench... toots!" ***** eyeballs the waitress, with a cold hard stare, "ain't no one sitting at this table but me, myself and I trash-talkin your establishment and its prices... and by the soy boy gawds that shake and quake the pillars of the heavens it's my right as a free-born Goblin to voice my opinion and if some dish pushing scullery wench with high falutin airs takes exception to it she has two options... ask me to leave or kiss my hairy-bum and stifle it. I only ate here to please my companions and the lady there is payin me tab."Pointing to Illia with a wide grin, "thank you again kindly toots for the meal, much appreciated I am done so will take my leave and wait outside for you all to finish your meal and discussion at your leisure and will be ready to hit the road when you all are."
With that, the hairy little Goblin slides out of his seat and makes his exit to wait outside... breaking windloudly with each and every step he takes as he exits the tavern door.
"Don't get emotional my lady" the Fighter addresses the waitress with a grin "I said not cheap, didn't mention not fair, and I can add that is all tasty and fine meal, I meant no disrespect"
When the waitress is gone she turns to the others rising his eyebrows "Whoa, within this chilling time of the year she has a very warmed blood, isn't it? Eheh"
He finishes his chicken and ale, looking at the Monk "I hope for you all that fish will not cause any trouble. If your skills are half your appetite this job is gonna take 5 minutes or so, anyway, it seems we all need that gold so, mee to I am done, I will follow that little ***** outside, ready to move on"
After you all leave the tavern, you notice that night has fallen, the glow of the blue, waning gibbous moon flickering as clouds start moving in. Few are still walking the streets, and surely most will be home soon to pass the night. Perhaps you will want to find an inn to stay the night, or perhaps you all would rather save your coin and sleep outside... Or maybe something else entirely. The choice is yours.
***** greets the others as they make their way out of the tavern each in their own time. "Looks like its getting late folks, probably best to bed down for the night and start off together in the morning, where and when do you all wish to meet up? I am going to head towards the outskirts of town, find a nice overhang or another suitable spot to bed down for the night under the stars."The hairy goblin points to a landmark out in the distance, "you can find me out that way... camping if you need me... or want to join me to make camp are welcome."
Illia notices it is late and bites her lip as she stands, "I will try and find an inn for the night. I will see you all in the morning., have a good night." Without another word, Illia covers her mouth with her hand as she yawns and begins to head out. She looks around, wandering the streets until coming upon an inn. Entering with a tired look she looks around for the innkeeper.
Illia goes in the first inn she can find, a decrepit, nameless place as would be expected in the Crater. The Innkeeper, a tall lanky man with a ridiculously large beard and sideburns, sneers at her enterring from behind the reception counter. "Welcome missy! Can't say I've seen you around these parts. Looking for a room?". He tip-taps on a black tarnished silver desk-bell, obviously broken as no sound comes forth but a dull ting of metal on metal. "We have a promotional game tonight, if you care to try. You guess the price your stay would cost, and if you guess right, you stay for free. If you guess too high, you pay your guess... But if you guess too low, you have to pay thrice the cost. How 'bout it?"
***** bows to Illia and watches as she walks off to a nearby inn, noticing the name of the establishment then looks at the others, "I take it that those of you that prefer or can afford an inn will stay there perhaps? I will meet up with you all in the morning then at sun up, there in front of the inn there, otherwise, I bid you all a goodnight."
With that, the hairy little Goblin turns and trudges off into the night headed where he had indicated to find a good spot to bed down and camp out for the night.
Illia looks at the innkeeper with a raised brow before she covers up another yawn, "No thank you but next time I come into town, I'll take you up on that game sir."She says kindly as she walks up to the counter. "Would a gold piece cover the cost for one night?"
The Innkeeper's eyes look about to bulge out of his head. "Certainly certainly! I will prepare the best of rooms for you missy!" He rushes upstairs, yelling "Hilda! Get THAT room ready!". You hear doors whooshing open, and quite a bit of scrambling; you even hear a bucket drop, a bit of water flowing down the stairs before the Innkeep manages to reach it with his mop.
Illia looks at him a tad too tired to really react as she waits to be led to her room, she sets the gold piece down on the counter. Leaning against the counter she waits patiently, but the longer she waits the more she begins to doze off.
"Hey, *****, wait up... I think I'll join you." After bidding the others goodnight, Wolhana follows the goblin's lead. "I take it you know where we're going?"
The Fighter follow Illia at the Inn, they will have days of traveling open air, plenty of time to get a flat ass on the grass, he will likely try to have something more comfortable for tonight....when he eyes the Inn, and the tallyman he thought hopefully
"Another room Sir, I've never been lucky so just give me the price, I need to rest" He turns to Illia when the man run upstairs "Not the fanciest one uhm? I hope to not find a cockroach snap on my pillow"
Kugan eyes the half-elf from head to feet "One day, I would have asked you here and there, if you would like to share the room"
"Is that so?" Illia looks at the Fighter with a tired yet amused smile. "I suppose you'd like to sleep comfortably tonight as well?" Illia looks thoughtful then looks around the inn. She then tilts her head, "We could share a room, I wouldn't mind really. I usually end up falling asleep the moment I sit down when I'm this tired, so there is no saying if I will sleep on the bed or a chair. Either way, I get a night of rest. Of course if you don't mind you may share the room with me, you can also save your coin." Her intentions seem innocent enough, just wanting to be polite and too tired to naturally do much. Though, if something were to happen it also seems she wouldn't hesitate to use her weapon.
"Hey, *****, wait up... I think I'll join you." After bidding the others goodnight, Wolhana follows the goblin's lead. "I take it you know where we're going?"
***** pauses allowing Wolhana to catch up before turning to continue on walking. "I scouted things out a bit, some likely spots up this way to make a camp. I am used to sleeping under the stars in nature or in the alleys and gutters of your more civilized urban areas. But to answer your question, no I don't know where I am going exactly. Just going to find something suitable and curl up for the night so you are welcome to join me or not... if you don't mind primitive conditions or a little muck."
With that said ***** continues walking, his eyes peeled for a suitable spot, that perhaps provides a little protection from the elements but at this point and late hour willing to settle.
Kugan returns a similar amused smile "I said one day I would, Illia, take your bed, no worries" The fighter snorts and turns to the Innkeeper, waiting for his key and to finally get his bed slam.
Illia looks mildly amused as she gets to her room. She sets down her axe in a way so that if any trouble should wake her she could grab her weapon. She drops onto the bed and within minutes she was resting.
***** and Wolhana find that the best place to rest for the night... would be inside the Eastern Gate tunnel. Wolhana also notices on their way a few trees, but all of them behind gates and fences. The only other trees you could find are outside the hills of Duskport, but the gates are closed at this hour.
((If you still decide to smack a tree within the hills, give me two dice rolls: a stealth check and a strength check.))
