(Very sorry for my inactivity, my play has finished but now I have a lot of things I need to catch up on, I'll update on thursday at the latest, though I'll try to do so before then.)

"Ignorance is bliss, and you look absolutely miserable."
Almost gently, the great clawed forelimb of the massive sandmount pushes Hugeo to the ground, pinning him against the chalky wastebone. The creature leans in close, and begins opening its maw. Normal pangolins have no teeth. Even ordinary sandmounts have flat, herbivore teeth. This creature is neither, and its teeth are pointed, and almost look filed down. Right before it sinks its teeth into what little flesh Hugeo still has, it pauses. Its nose flares, and it sniffs. The sandmount looks up, not at an approaching Dusty and Ruby Red, but at the Flint's place, and its eyes narrow. It lets go of Hugeo, and begins lumbering over, growling low.
Everyone gets another action, if they'd like to take it.

As the creature moves away from Hugeo, the wizened dwarf stumps forward and extends a hand, helping him up with perhaps surprising wiry strength for such a shriveled form. He glances at the sky and the circling vulture swoops around, trying to get a visual in through one of the windows of the shop the not-sandmount is approaching.

((As long as it's moving towards some store he can't see into, rather than at him and Hugeo, the dwarf seems content to let the beast depart, trying to get up and get away/to cover as best as possible.))

Suddenly, as Dusty and Ruby appear in the distance, gradually growing closer, the beast begins leaping at the door, growling and scrabbling at it. It doesn't seem to have a great purchase just yet, and the door stands strong, but it doesn't seem like it's ready to give up.
Dusty, you managed to find Ruby quickly, and explained the situation to her. She was already getting up and packing her things when she heard all the ruckus going on with the now Ex-Mayor, so she was ready to depart quickly. She was concerned about the animal, and conceded that it could be dangerous, but refused to answer any other questions Dusty might have had about why she had the beast, why it was like that, or anything else. The two of you arrive to see the beast clawing at the door of the undertaker's place. Ruby does not say anything, but her eyes narrow.

(Sorry for the general inactivity. Had a big project I had to invest all my time into. I should have a little more free time now, for a few weeks.)
Hugeo tries to reach his flintlock, but the beast's paw is in the way. He almost manages to reach it when the sandmount steps away. However, as Hugeo stands on his feet, he remains by what's left of Isaac. Not because he wants to reclaim parts - well, maybe he'll keep that gatling hand - but rather because he wants to make sure nobody else can do so. He'd rather have those parts sink in the sands than see non-Reckoners lay their hands on them.
Grabbing onto what's left of Isaac, Hugeo begins to drag it away from the sandmount. "I believe it is time we leave this place to rot by itself. I've had enough of lightning benders and dogs with filed teeth. Besides, we've a job to complete."
The dwarf clears a dusty sounding throat, before lending a hand.
"Mind if I catch a ride out of town with you lot? The populace already looked at me with the hairy eyeball, so this isn't likely to raise my reputation, best be moving on as well. Err... what's this about a job, if I can ask?"

As the party begins moving down to the port, Ruby will stay behind with the feral sandmount. She doesn't seem to be discouraging its behavior, and merely stands back as there is a splintering sound from the door. The party descends down a lift, and as they reach the bottom a scream echoes from above. It's high pitched, but it's hard to tell if it's Ruby's or someone else's.

The dwarf's knees get wobbly and he leans heavily on his stick.
"Oh my... that's quite a lot of excitement for one day..."
On top of the wastebones, the vulture circles as the scream echoes down. The dwarf will report what he sees as his eyes go a bit unfocused, rolling in different directions.

"agreed! Let's get out of here, our train car must be waiting where we arrived, Marcus and Irene will fill you in on our mission from there, but prepare for a fight... Maybe, the place was guarded when we arrived"as they move Dusty will assist the aged dwarf if needed.
Seeing through his familiar's eyes, Thardoran only sees the giant pangolin creature crash through the door of the Flint's place, and Ruby enter after. A few moments later there is the scream, but he does not know where it comes from, though it seems to originate from the top floor.

The dwarf would have tried to urge Hugeo towards cover, but since the beast seems to have no more interest in Isaac, if he wished to reclaim parts...
