Val wakes up in the chair and checks his own body for the wounds that the hooded figures inflicted on him. Feeling still weakend by the attacks and the magic that affected him he calls for his companions.
”Keth? Aerling?” He stands and approaches the writing desk and the chest.
“Well I guess this is the next part of the test” he thinks to himself looking at the desk trying to find any clue.
The elf shrugs his shoulders and, before try to opening the chest he tries to discern if there are any traps, both mechanical or magical, on the chest.
As Aerlian comes to he realises he is alone, unsurprised that the test calls for individual assessment he gets up as quickly as the effects of the magic that brought him here allow and looks over the room, deciding to focus on the two items that seem most prominent he checks over the desk and the chest, carefully but thoroughly.

Aerlian on the desk are several papers one however stands out more than the others, a letter in a sealed envelope the silver tinted wax bearing the symbol of Legerdemain! The other pages just look like discarded drafts if spell work!

Seeing that the chest is locked the druid will try to look for some key at the drawer looking at the top of it and trying to open the draws. After he sees that they are also locked he will look around the rest of the room, and below the chair he woke up.
Sorry for the duplicate post... didn’t know what happened. Anyway he will look around the room. Guess that it will be Investigation but in case Perception also works.
Keth wakes up. He holds his heads, feeling a headache coming on. Looking around not noticing his friends he begins looking around. First inspecting the desk, looking to see if there are any drawers that could open, and then moving to the chest attempting to open it.
Val you notice a loose brick in the floor at the far left corner of the room from the desk. It looks slightly off, tilted upward from the moulding around it.
Aerlian please roll a straight DEX or sleight of hand, which evers better, to leave the seal unbroken to read the contents within.
Keth please roll an investigation check but the draws are locked at you try to open them.

He is no rogue and kind of naive... ;)
He can think of arcane or mundane traps in the chest for he knows that it’s a test but... no more... he finds an interesting thing and the excitment gets over him XD

Looking around the desk you don't see a key. Turning and looking around the room there's just bare wall, the chest, and the chair.
