Sohk sets down his wine to clap enthusiastically for Vin. "Brilliant!" He cheers with a large smile before walking up to the waivers. Still chewing a bit of cheese he approaches and signs the waiver.
He takes a look around and moseys back over to the food on offer, grazing at what's left while he watches and listens with a smile.
Spix claps enthusiastically for the performance, she nods and smiles at Zin. She says “If we are to travel together, I should introduce myself. My friends call me Spix. I am new to the north, came seeking my destiny. (Here she laughs, a brief musical laughter) Hopefully this is part of it. I know I don’t look strong, but I’m pretty quick with a blade: It is a pleasure to meet you.

Zin smiles and says "Thank you, thank you. Nice to meet you Spix. I would be glad to have your company. I think if we work together we can succeed at this task. Speaking of which..."
He turns and walks back to our host and says "Mr. Blackheart. Nice presentation. I have signed up and I think a number of us are interested here. I know that you want us to succeed. You could increase the chance of that happening by supplying us with one or two of these potions of healing to use if we need to, if we are waylaid by bandits, or worse. What do you say, is that a possibility? I know that you don't wish the same fate for our crew as the last, do you?"
Mr. Blackheart smiles at Zin then glances to the Tabaxi lady for a moment. The Tabaxi ladies eyebrows raise for a second as her chin goes down while she closes her eyes. Her head then raises as she smiles warmly towards Zin. Mr Blackheart looks back at Zin.
"Because you sang such a great song. I will allow the group only 1.."
The Tabaxi lady speaks up. "Two!" as Mr. Blackheart clears his voice.
"Two potions of healing for the group. I will allow the group to decide who will carry them. Miss Calihann will issue everyone one winter clothing suit, one trinket and the two potions of healing for the group."
Please add these items to your character sheet. On the trinkets choose either a necklace, a patch or a armband. The trinkets all have EH Inc. on them. Then let me know if you put on the winter clothing or put it into your packs. Also let me know who carries the potions please.
Sohk slides over to the tabaxi and takes an amulet from her, putting it around his neck. He shrugs and then starts to put on the winter clothing. He’s not accustomed to wearing such heavy clothing and unsure how to go about it. Eventually he ends up on the ground, rolling around a bit as he tries to pull these large pants on. Standing up he throws the warm jacket over his shoulders and shakes around a bit. “I don’t care for this. I’m getting too hot in here!” He pulls the jacket off and slings it over his shoulder. He figures once he’s in the cold he’ll pull it on over himself.
After finally finishing fidgeting he turns to Mr. Blackheart, looks around at the others and says, “I don’t mind carrying it.” He walks over and stoops down to pick it up.
Studying the papers Velan didn’t find any fault. What he did find was the value of the reward. Fifty gold coins and the prospect of further work, most likely just as profitable. He didn’t exactly like the fact that Blackheart didn’t mention how the group before was consumed by the job, but there was just as much information a mercenary with no name could expect from an employer.
As the elven man singed a ballad the hexblood signed the waiver. He handed it back to the tabaxi, returned his writing utensils to his bag and took the cold gear as the bard asked for potions. Surprisingly enough, Everett allowed the use of one and then another.
“I believe you are right.” He spoke in answer to Spix. “My name is Velan and it is a pleasure to meet you. I have been in Icewind Dale for but a few months and it would be beneficial for us to know our, let’s say, specialties.”
In saying that the wizard snap his fingers, materializing an albino horned owl with emerald eyes. The raptor flies briefly before landing on his right shoulder. Hello, Ninlil. He said to the familiar telepathically.
“I am a spellcaster and I see no problem with you carrying the crate, master dwarf. When it comes to a potion, well, I fight at range so it may be better to entrust it to someone else.”
Zinhorn nods to Velan and says "I believe we are putting together a great team. Zinhorn Kote, but my friends call me Zin. I hope you will call me Zin. A pleasure to meet you." He takes one of the potions of healing from the tabaxi, picks up the cold weather gear and starts to put it on, as well as an amulet with the initials around his neck. He finishes signing the waiver with a flourish at the end, in large looping letters. He takes the second potion of healing and says generally to the group "Who wants to carry this one?"

A wizard is never late, nor is he early, he arrives precisely when he means to.
"I can carry the other one," Magwynn offers, stepping forward. "You can call me Magwynn. My kin inhabit the mountains of the area, and I am quite familiar with the wilds that surround these towns." She packs the potion and the extra clothing away in her pack, and accepts one of the necklaces. "I have a little magic, as well."
Spix takes a set of cold weather gear and puts it on. She says “I have some things like this in my pack, but in case I get wet, or we find someone in need, more furs may be useful”. She takes an amulet with the symbol, and wears it prominently. She also says, “I can do some healing through my goddess, And I have some little magic, I trained with a wizard for a bit, but I had little talent for it, still I have a few tricks” She says a few words and moves her hand and an illusion of the crate full of potions appears in front of her. “Could be useful. If you look close, I will label my illusions with a small version of this symbol- where my allies can see- so you will know not to trust your eyes .” She holds up the amulet and points out the symbol on the crate, and smiles. “And… I also have an owl, hopefully they will be friends.” A snowy owl appears on her shoulder. “This is Spirit- When traveling, she helps watch me from above- she’s prevented me from falling into several ambushes on my journey north.” Spix looks at the owl with admiration.
Sohk grunts and makes his way to the others with the crate. "Greetings! I am Sohk, it is a pleasure to meet you all." He smiles openly at everyone and stands there holding the crate. After a few moments just standing there smiling he says, "I'm glad to hear that someone is familiar with the area, I've never been this far north! I like to go all sorts of places. Don't really stay in one place too long, truth be told." And as if he has to prove this last, he walks over to Mr. Blackheart, "I've got your crate! Ready to go. Anything else we should know before we set off?"
Davis, again, waits until all others have signed the waiver, then, slowly, steps forward and takes one of the papers himself. He reads it over, then, giving a sigh, scrawls his name as well. He turns to their host. "Never thought I'd be signing up for this sort of thing again." He says with a nod to the man. Turning to the others he nods to the dwarf carrying the crate. "If you need a break with that, then let us know, as I can definitely take a turn if needs be." He then grips the glaive in his hand, his calm gray eyes moving to the tent flap. "Unless we meet something dangerous, then it would be best if I not have the crate in hand, as I could do little to protect the rest of you in that situation." He takes the cold weather cloths offered, and slips the heavy cloak on, placing his normal cloak into his pack, then changing out other pieces of clothing with smooth efficiency.
Once done he glances back to their host. "How many days travel is this place we are to deliver the crate?"
Magwynn signs the contract as well, her writing the ungainly sprawl of someone who has little occasion to practice it. "I can also take a turn with the crate, if needed. It looks light enough." She leans in a little to regard Spirit the owl. "Hello, Spirit."
Mr. Blackheart smiles warmly nodding his approval of the team that choose to take on missions of this sort.
"When you get to Kleine just stop and smell the air. The smell of fresh bread will lead you to the Inn. And all I know is once you leave the tent just head North. And follow the signs. The signs will guide your way."
The temperature inside the tent drops drastically as a chill creeps into your lungs as you take a breath. You hear the wind outside the tent start to blow hard as the tent wavers more drastically now. Mr. Blackheart and Miss Calihann look around frantically as you hear a ripple of Thunder penetrate your ear drums for a moment before going silent as the dead.
The servants and staff come out looking around then stop to stare at Mr. Blackheart
Mr. Blackheart looks at Miss. Calihann.
"Create a portal in the back that leads back to the my House. The rest of you go grab the crates and take them through the portal. I'll follow up shortly"
The staff move back behind the curtain as you hear things start to move around
Mr. Blackheart with concern looks at all of you
"Well as sorry as I am to say this, Due to the current circumstances. Maybe you should take your leave now and find shelter before the weather really sets in. I bid you all the best of luck. And I'll be in contact soon."
As another crackle of Thunder ripples through the air. You see him turn and exit through the curtain.

"Can she not create a portal to our destination?" Magwynn asks, but is drowned out by the thunder and Blackheart leaves without responding. She moves to the opening of the tent. Looking outside carefully, and based on the weather before she entered the tent, can Magwynn tell if this storm will be brief or if it will be dangerous to go outside? Nature check: 22 (Expertise due to favored terrain.)
Magwynn ducks her head back inside, some snow following furiously after her. "This is not a natural storm. I fear if we stay here we may be buried alive. Kleine is that direction," she adds, pointing north. "I was briefly able to see a sign. We ought to leave before we cannot find more."
