Starting a new (primarily Monday-Friday) campaign based on a Classic, as I tend to have time early morning to make updates. Looking for 4 players to start and beginners are encouraged. This will be light to medium roleplay, as it isn't fun for everyone if someone take a week IRL talking to the barkeep, and will include both above ground and under ground adventure. Races/Classes/Spells, etc. will be limited to those available in the Player's Handbook.
Player Expectations
Able to check posts most weekdays days (life happens and you might be unavailable for a day or two).
Able to communicate when you will be off on break, and allow play to continue
Not a "rules lawyer"
About the DM
I am old school and have been player since Basic Edition in '79. I believe in the AD&D DM's Guide axiom of "Always give a monster an even break", so a random flying bird is not going to get the crit or killing blow meant for you.
I think leveling in 5e is too easy, so we will be using the "Milestone" leveling system and it will probably take a lot longer to level up. And such leveling is not "automatic", but will require training.
I will take this seriously, and except for scheduled breaks or unforeseen circumstances, will post daily from Monday - Friday. Weekends are for family, but I might squeeze in an occasional post.

Play
As stated before, M-F and I will try to post before 8am EST. Though I might be later depending on work and lengthy posts. I will post something when I am unavailable that day
Combat will be party vs monsters as determined by roll of all involved, and follow descending order for both sides.
If you will be away for a short period then I (as an NPC), another party member or a friend of yours may play the character.
If you will be away for an extended period of time, then we will look at options.
If you go unscheduled dark for a short time, I will play you as an NPC.
Any questions, please feel free to post them here, so everyone can get the answer (and I will amend this post).
If you go unscheduled dark for a long period of time, I will find someone else to play the character until such time as would be good to introduce a replacement.
Keun has trained to be the best fighter in the world ever since he was a little boy. In his small town he did pretty well and with his determination and discipline he was able to become one of the best fighters in his area. A roving gang of bandits had moved into the area and while he wanted to muster up some friends and take them out, some adventurers came to town. These adventurers put him to shame with their skill and power. Realizing that if he truly wanted to be the best he needed to learn and experience more, Keun set off to train from masters around the world. He heard there was a master trainer in Loudwater.
Keun is an extremely average looking human man, if you lost him in a crowd it would be hard time pick him out. He stands at about 5'10" with brown hair and a wiry build. His youth means that he doesn't have any scars or distinguishing marks and he retains a naive optimism that shines in his eyes.
Backstory : Dorcas was a city dwarf. He has never lived in a cave and never seen a mountain until one day his god touched him with divine words. The young dwarf left his comfortable house and said farewell with beloved family to see the sights that he never see, to meet people he never know, and help them if they are in need.
Appearance: Dorcas is a red-headed dwarf male. He is taller, fatter and much heavier than average dwarves. He loves food, drinks and good times with friends.
Class: Ranger (or Fighter, or Bard...I leave to the DMs discretion, based on what's a better fit for the party)
Alignment: Chaotic good
Backstory: Dverin has spent most of his adult life (of 33 years), meandering amongst the various licentious pursuits of beer, brothels, music and poetry, allowing hunself to get swallowed up in the criminal underworld, fearing to return home out of a sense of shame to the woodland kin of his youth. Things changed upon a day, after barfighting someone much too big for him, and winding in the care of a local Lathanderian cleric. While recovering from his wounds, Dverin experienced a mystical vision, prompting him to leave his cozy and degenerate life, and set sail for a new mystical 'something', to which his cleric ecouraged he start anew in Loudwater.
Appearance: Average height, auburn hair and whiskey-colored eyes. Slightly thin.
I’m interested, I was in a campaign with this character that ended abruptly and I’d like to use him if able. I have no problems setting him back to first level if selected for this group.
Backstory: Ruby was living on the streets since she can remember, alone. Without any parents, she learned how to steal just to have something to eat. One day she managed to overhear some guys talking about a big ruby they stole from a noble man. After hearig that she decided to try and steal it from them but got caught trying to do so. The thiefs were not that angry since they saw potential in that little halfling girl. So, they took her in and even named her. It felt like she had a family but once she realised they were only using her, she knew she had to leave. Now she travels around, looking for a purpose in life.
Appearance: small even for a halfling, wild curly red hair, brown eyes, very thin

Sounds good to me!
Will you allow multiclassing? And feats? (I ask this because these are optional rules...)
