Eldin says, "Sorry I can't show it to you but I can tell you what it is. This is what I use to formulate battle strategies that I can use in the arena."
"Stupid cowards trying to use "strategy" and "tactics" and "you can't use goblins to carry firebombs, its morally wrong". Back in my day, we used goblins and kobolds for all of our suicide bombings, and we put shacks on the backs of giants and used them as siege weaponry. But "NO, I'M SOME KIND OF UPSTART DIPLOMAT AND I DON'T THINK WE SHOULD USE KOBOLDS ANYMORE!"
He takes a swig from a strange glass bottle filled with an effervescent dark liquid, which pours out of his ribcage into several more bottles inside for collecting everything he drinks.
(The guy's completely nuts, or at least he seems to be. He's really just speaking to a possibly nonexistent ghost. My retcon skills cannot be beat, dood)
Eldin jokingly says, "Yeah. You can run is as a cat." He then adds in a less joking manner, "In all seriousness, that's probably for the best. You'd be pretty unstoppable with proper planning. Ah! When we go out to buy the dress, why don't we buy a notebook for you too? That way you can calculate and plot out all you strategies as well as keep track of people's weaknesses."
(Who is truly time traveling here? The people in the feast who are experiencing the past, or the people from the future who arrived before the past was finished?)
Up in the administrators library a gnome speaks a few arcane words as he lays a silver spoons on a slab of fine polished marble just beyond a figure of a little Ivory doorway. He steps back and snaps his fingers as the door grows and opens, granting Jenkin's access to his Magnificent Mansion where he'll sleep comfortably without any risk of long range crossbow accidents. Not that he doesn't have a Clone or two stuffed away just in case something were to happen.
(As they say, the only way to kill an abjurer is with an illusionist. Man, I really want to play an illusionist. I have what is basically a bard illusionist in another campaign, and illusion spells are just so fun. I have way too many character concepts.)

Marvarax, if you try and take a bed in the medic's office. He'll see to it that you are healthy enough to walk, before he has you demonstrate by walking out the door. He recommends you sleep in one of the free bunks near the cafeteria. The Coliseum provides clean beds and regular meals for its employees should they need it, and the contestants are welcome to utilize the same facilities, though they may not suit each contestants particular tastes. Each bed also has a locker available if you've got gear to store.
