“They jumped to a conclusion and one of them chased me across town with murder in his eyes because of it”, responded Liam to the Shopkeeper.
Technically it wasn’t lying. As far as he knew, even the guy that chased him through town didn’t know for sure that Liam as the same person as the guy in the wanted poster...in hindsight, that actually makes them seem like pricks.
regardless, Liam wasn’t there to form opinions on people he never even talked to before.
”What kind of armor do you got?”

Liam the Weak: Level 4 Human Fighter - Trying to fight against his other personality, and constantly losing.
Aodh: Level 20 Half-Elf Cleric of Life - Not really. It's a strange being that had possessed and broke down a level 20 Cleric of Life Domain, gaining his knowledge and power.
"*****": Level 1 Tiefling Sorcerer - Her family is dead, and her will is broken. She follows orders so that those that command her will allow her to die.
Eldin finishes his food and walks up to Adair. "I want to ask you about something. Do you think it would be profitable for us to offer lodgings? We'll probably have to hire another set of people to work during the night."
”Perhaps something that wouldn’t hinder my movements like Breastplate or Ring Mail?”

Adaire answers, "It could be profitable. We'd need to rent a larger space. If we had rooms over looking the arena we could charge a premium. But we wouldn't be able to compete with inns in town for standard rooms except possibly with fighters... but they have free lodgings available here already... Our real estate is probably too expensive for that purpose. It would be risky and expensive."
Liam, the armorer pulls some pieces from the shelf to show you, "I wouldn't say the mail won't hinder your movement. It'll turn away a blow alright and its not so heavy you can't walk, but sometimes your better defended if your quick enough to avoid a blow completely. The chest piece on the other hand, you'll hardly notice you're wearing it, and it'll stop some foll driving a knife into your heart just fine. That's a more expensive piece, it'll cost ya 400 gold. The mail I'd let go for just 30... If youvecgot coin to spare though, a set of half plate will put you back 750. 'S not great for sneaking around, but it'll offer ya good protection."
Adaire, seeing that Eldin is preoccupied with his anticipated 15 minutes in heaven, announces the victory feast. "A victory feast has been prepared for today's winners. Marmaduke, Rothander, Scarab, Tenrok, Parabolus, Lasser, Liam, Nala, and Ob head over to the 2nd floor where the victor's feast is waiting for you. You are each invited to bring one guest. The victors from the morning bout are, of course, invited to join as well, once they are available." She gestures to the arena where the next (current) battle is being prepared.
To Eldin she adds, "You two better hurry", with a wink to Grianne.
(Yoink! I'll just take that off the good shop keep's hands along with a healer's kit if the happen to have one hand)
Her mission complete, Marmaduke starts to search for an inn. "Mn… no, I should probably go apologize for that first." She mutters, remembering when her first spell went awry, and on that note makes her way to the Glory.
With any luck, she'll make it in time to hear the announcement, if not wind up directed there by another. Though in the latter case, she pays special mind to make sure her hair and hood covers up the horn before speaking to anyone.

It seems that Liam underestimated just how heavy Ring Mail was, so that was a bust. He definitely didn’t like the cost of the half-plate, and wouldn’t want the set to hinder him in the event where he would need to hide. So he would have to settle on the Breastplate. He took out 400, counted to be sure, and said,
”Breastplate it is, then.”

Eldin has a talk with Adair about the Glory. (Done in PM). He produces a pouch containing 755 gp and hands it to Adair. "Can we start construction tonight or wait until tomorrow? How soon do you think we can have the new floor operational. Do we have to close the Glory while the mages work?"
"You've seen them work." Adaire replies, "They'll be done in a blink. I'll set things up with my mother. We'll build the addition after the feast when the place is empty." She discusses the matter with Truth for what seems like an entirely too brief length of time. An attendant appears, as if summoned, to take a message for her.
Almost as soon as the attendant is out the door a sound can be heard on the roof *thunk* ... *thunk-thunk* ... *thunk* A familiar sound to some.
Eldin heads back inside. He removes the bartender wanted sign from the message board. He then sits at a table and makes some flyers requesting new staff while watching the fight.
A man of Elven height and build wearing a dark, heavy cloak enters The Glory and sits up front to watch the battle. He leans over the rail observing with some interest.
Liam hands over the 400 gold, and then takes the breastplate, strapping it to his back. He gives the shopkeep a thanks, before moving on to the weapon shop. If he was going to move on, he would need a new weapon. his battleaxe was trusty, but a sign of his old life only made him more likely to be confronted and ambushed, and with how easily he ended up crumbling earlier, such encounters only made things difficult.
He went up to the weapon shop, and selected a simple Longsword.
"How much for that?"
