After hearing the announcement for the next battle, Manikin starts to speed shop.

He goes to a spellcasting service and requests to have Mage Armor cast on him, as well as asks if the shop has any scrolls available for purchase. 24

In the library a meek girl gives you a conspiratorial wink. "We don't sell the services this is just a place where people looking to advance their skill study." Then she whispers, "but I don't mind putting in some practice, for a price."

She'll give you Mage Armor for 25 gold. She also will sell you scrolls (15, 8, 24, 12, 11) Identify, Disguise Self, Silent Image, Feather Fall, and Find Familiar each would cost 85 gold.

Manikin smiles widely at the girl, "you do me a great service, friend. I will take the Mage Armor, as well as the Disguise Self, Silent Image and Find Familiar scrolls." Manikin reaches into his robe pocket and produces 280 gold pieces, starts to hand them over, and then adds another 20 gold pieces on top of that for 300. "I hope that little tip there will buy me some additional favors in the future."

He puts down his weapon and takes a seat nets to a fire. He grabs a small bowl from his pack. Shmitty doesnt make eye contact. He just stares intently at his bowl of beans and eats. "I dont know what you are talking about" Deception 0

Hearing the announcement for a new bout nalok heads of back to the arena.

(ok im trying to catch up on two pages. lol. um can i get a quick run down of what i missed please. did the victors feast happen it seems like the next day fights are happening. )

(Grianne and Calgin talked about shapeshifting before the party scared Grianne off. Shmitty didn't come he must not have been feeling well. There's an extra gnome in your kitchen. I suspect I'll hear something from Baryk if he's going to act further while Eldin and Viator are in a state of suspended animation in terms of narrative. Eider and Ramal had a good chat. Nalok and Valmarir made appearances. Manikin had some success gaming my systems. Eldon found Shmitty with a lady friend in his camp and blocked him.)

(Caught up) Once Eldin is done healing, he will quickly look for the crossbow man (Shmitty) who escaped. (Since Shmitty already escaped, I'm not rolling perception and just saying he failed). He couldn't find him. He leads the couple back into the Glory and asks Josias "Did you see a Gnome with a monocle and a top hat around here?" He speaks under his breath, "Hades, that sounded weird."

Daisy does her best to look scary and intimidating, but since there are apparently no more aggressors she deflates back into a girl and follows Eldin.

(The couple is inside the Glory now right?)

Eldin turns to Daisy and says, "Good work back there. Can you please tell me where you friend went? I really need that thing back."

As Eldin finished his sentence, he speaks something unintelligible  and glows with a soft but dark light. Healing Word on himself for:

Viator walks over to the bodies and lets his storm cloud dissipate. He checks them to see if he can identify who they are. He knows the crossbow man that escaped is injured. Is there a blood trail? Survival: 16.

(Kinda confused on what's happening right now. Who has the artifact?)

(A gnome that appears to be Daisy's friend. He went into the Glory so Eldin and Daisy went after him while Viator is hunting Shmitty.

On a side note, this series of events is kind of hard to follow especially since everyone in PBP land has a chance to suddenly get frozen in time but I'm having a great time. What about you guys?)

Baryk tracks the gnome down while trying to avoid detection.

Survival/Perception 21

Viator, there's no blood the lightning must have cauterized the wound. You do find a mask discarded nearby.

Baryk hides and sees the gnome has entered The Glory. He won't be able to go unnoticed if he goes through the front door right now.

I won't go through the front door if there's another way in or if there's an outside vantage point

Did Daisy lead Eldin to the kitchen to meet the Gnome? If so, Eldin will ask the gnome who he is and will politely ask for the artifact back.

Baryk inconspicuously watches Eldin through the front window.

Daisy shrugs, "beats me. I was with you."

One of the serving girls points you to the kitchen door.

Baryk moves around the building to peer in through a high slit window.

In the kitchen you find the gnome drawing a big circular arcane diagram with chalk on the floor.
