The camp is simple, and judging by the smell and refuse has been here for several months at least. A small trail leads off to the south toward the edge of the wood, which was made by the (assuming) Goblins. You can clearly see the thick foliage which indicates the edge of the forest. The two large beds definitely have clumps of fur similar to that which covered the Bugbears bodies, while the smaller ones lack this distinguishing feature, even appearing to be slightly fresher.
Poking around inside the beds, you discover two small sack (one in each) of the larger beds containing coin. Together it adds up to 8gp and 16 cp.
"… No matter how high the wall is, Itself can't kill the enemy. It can't protect you from starvation tactics as well. In the end, someone has to enter the woods. " Dorcas picks up one of the sucks and says. " A small reward for this adventure. A bit awkward though. We have five people but they can't be divided by five."
For the first quarter mile the trail is easy to fill to follow. However, once it reaches the more open space of the forest proper the foot prints become hard to follow on the hard packed earth.
"… Ahh, you're right. We must focus on what we should do. " Dorcas scratches his head and stares at the trail. " Let's see how much I remember the lesson from my survival class "
For the first mile, the trail is easy to follow, as it continues north and a little east. The strides are long and the impressions deep, indicated the ypur quarry is moving quickly, maybe even running in full flight.
As you travel the land rises gently. The forest about you is full of the sound of birds and small animals scittering up and away into the trees. Game trails wander through, crossing your trail at random angles.
After about a mile, the trail merges with a brook flowing down from the northeast.
The area around is natural, old growth forest, with the brook forming a natural boundary. The forest floor is littered it decaying leaves, and sparse undergrowth. Small animals, and birds can be heard.
Here the tracks stop, and there is no sign of the any on the far bank.

Dorcas crouches beside the Brook and washes his reddened face with cool water. " Ah! Feels much better. These little guys are running from us. They could have seen we killed the Bugbear." The dwarf cleric rises up and surveys his surroundings, watching for the possible ambush.
"Very odd for the path to just end like this, not going one way or the other. But at the same time," Dverin rests to wash his sweaty face, smiling at Dorcas, "cold water's nice."
"I do wonder, perhaps it might be a good idea to set up camp. Better yet, start a fire, bury ourselves in the leaves yards away, and see who stops by? If we get isolated visitors, we might be able to ask them--politely speaking--what this road is for."

Dorcas shakes his beard like big wet dog and grinnes. " Walking in the river and heading to upstream? Good tactic. Not work on this dwarf though. " He go up along the river and seatches the upstream for another trails.

"I'm sorry, my friend but I can't agree with you. If we are all elves, dwarves or gnomes, we wouldn't have said no. However most our party member are human. It means you guys can't see in the darkness like our enemies do. And Bert and Klaus have to go back to keep before sunset and closing the gate. That's our promise you know."
The stream is easy to follow as it meanders north by northwest, and you notice no wet footprints for the first mile as walk alongside the brook. After the first mile, the brook splits into two streams, the left branch going north, while the right continues its more westerly direction. It is easy to see here, that a two pairs of prints leave the streams each walking alongside a stream.

Keun turns towards the guards and asks, "This westerly one goes more towards the keep?"
Dverin turns towards the guards anticipating their answer.
"Nay, the Keep is that way," Bart says as he points back the way you have come.
I'll update the map in a bit, but you are somewhere around -3L (a bit off the map to the north)
