The first of the worgs runs forward and clamps onto Draskan’s armour, he takes 12 piercing damage from the bite and has to make a Dc 13 strength save or be knocked prone. The second worg will attempt the same on Oriki, but he nimbly side steps the beast
Oriki, having dodged the worg, draws his blades and plunges both towards the side of its neck, hoping to kill it outright, before moving back out of its reach.
The deafening blast of thunder splinters trees and ragdolls both the thug and the worg through the air. The smash into the undergrowth and neither get back up. From the bushes opposite you hear the slapping of feet disappearing into the distance.
You boys sure are popular.... Lets get out of here before they regain their courage! Follow me Argetlam is a lot less chatty as he leads the way, setting a brisk pace through the woods. After an hour or so he slows down and starts to loop behind you attempting to cover your tracks.
You continue along in the direction he gives you and after 20 minutes or so you come to a wooden palisade that rings a large clearing in the woods. Argetlam leads you left around the wall towards a gate, which is currently closed. Two guards stand on the walkway running along the inside of the palisade. Who goes there?! one of them calls It's me! Argetlam calls I have our guests with me fresh from an ambush by bounty hunters as we left Martira Bay! So kindly open the gate please Rolf I'd like an ale by the fire while they meet with the boss!
Rolf squints for a second then laughs Don't drink it all Arge I'm off duty in an hour... ALRIGHT OPEN THE GATES! The gate lowers towards you and you are able to walk into the camp of the Dreadwyrm Syndicate.
Arge leads you towards a large tunnel lined with torches and ringed with semi permanent looking sleeping quarters. Alright lads, if you need me I'll be over there grabbing some grub, come on over once you've spoken to the boss. She is downstairs. Be respectful is my advice and you'll get all the help taking down the Baron as you'll want. Alright then off you pop! He gives you a gentle push in the direction of the tunnel
As you descend the tunnel the lights get dimmer and dimmer, as if the light of the torches is being smothered by the dark. The tunnel os wider than you expected it to be, several wagons would be able to traverses it side by side. At the bottom it opens up into a large cavern, you see the glitter of a mound of gold at the far end, sparkling amidst the gloom. As you get closer you hear a deep rumbling echoing around you. Draskan, being the only one to speak draconic, recognises it as the traditional greeting between dragons

Welcome to my lair, I am Dalinda, childe of Ebbershayeth, loyal subject of Azalin Rex. It is good that you have come, and that you still carry the symbol of your fealty. Bring your companions further in I have made arrangements for your comfort. The large head disappears back into the shadows and you hear a susurrus of scales over gold further in
Draskan walks towards a set of richly appointed chairs in the centre of the cavern. He strains against the darkness trying to spot the adult shadow dragon, not quite able to make her out. In common you hear her speak Do not fret I am here to assist you. My father has long sensed the Barons greed and kept a wary eye on her from afar, unable to take direct action because of Rex’s command. Rex is no longer present in this realm and the Barons actions have overstepped the bounds of her authority. It is time to excise her cancerous existence from the kingdom and I have been empowered to assist you in this.
There was a huge magical explosion over Castle Avernus about 10 years ago. It ravaged the castle and has left a glowing tear in reality above it. The Kings Tear as it is colloquially known still shines and since it appeared no one has been able to contact the Darklord Azalin Rex. Too many of his underlings now believe him to be eradicated and are squabbling amongst themselves to control the remains of his kingdom

Draskan is unable to maintain his balance and trips to the floor.
The heavily wounded thug staggers towards Sheridan and bonks him with his mace
Oriki, having dodged the worg, draws his blades and plunges both towards the side of its neck, hoping to kill it outright, before moving back out of its reach.
The worg whimpers as the blades strike home but while gravely wounded it still lives as Oriki scampers backwards away from it
Sheridan is hurting badly and chugs his last healing potion of the day for 6 back.
He casts Shatter on the thug, hoping to catch a worg or two in the clamorous blast. 12 damage, DC15 Con save for 1/2
The deafening blast of thunder splinters trees and ragdolls both the thug and the worg through the air. The smash into the undergrowth and neither get back up. From the bushes opposite you hear the slapping of feet disappearing into the distance.
You’ll regret that As Draskan rises to his feet, he clubs the worg with his maul
It whimpers in pain as Argetlam closes it down from thenother side and slashes at it with his glaive, ending the monstrosity.
Seconds pass by and silence slowly returns to the woods. Argetlam walks over to Sheridan and heals him with a touch restoring him back to full health.
Sheridan dusts himself off and thanks Argetlam.
Is everyone OK? Shall we continue on our way?

Sheridan looks somewhat abashedly down at his shabby clothes, straightens his hat, nods at the others and walks toward the tunnel.

“Drem Yol Lok” I am surprised to hear the mother tongue in this place

Draskan translates for the group, still wary, Draskan begins to follow, paying attention of his surroundings
Draskan walks towards a set of richly appointed chairs in the centre of the cavern. He strains against the darkness trying to spot the adult shadow dragon, not quite able to make her out. In common you hear her speak Do not fret I am here to assist you. Draskan continues forward, still trying to make out the dragon what do you know of Rex’s disappearance?
