"I'm sure Shrek is fine," Randall says to Olaerys as they try to finish off the gargoyle. "I'm more worried about the ground."

Ankita smiles at Randalls retort as she dares to quick take a look to make sure for herself that Shrek is alright. Seeing that, she again swings her club at the gargoyle at Randalls feet.
Those above, listening down below, can hear Shrek let out an enormously large belch, lasting multiple seconds, followed by a quiet (but echoing) "I sorry..."
Randall looks around once they get the big guy back up on the bridge. "Say... did I miss those knights saying goodbye?"

Sandre and Petra appear from the ancient looking staircase, running and out of breath. "Petra heard something upstairs and we turned to see what it was. We quickly checked the tunnel south and found another one of those grey dwarves you mentioned, and some foul wormlike creature with tentacles that ambushed us from the ceiling; we dispatched them but Petra took some wounds. We started to follow and come running when we heard the fighting."
"This place....I have never been to one but this has to be an old Dwarven stronghold. VERY old. I can't believe this was under the summer hills and we didn't know. I do not like the feel of this place."
"Let us go first". Pointing down the hallway he says, "That screams trap room, and if this was Dwarven, and that is the entrance, it is likely not an easy nut to crack if this place is occupied "
Shrek was ready to lead the group, but even with his meager understanding of common, the words ‘trap room’ make sense to him. Thus, he stands aside and let’s the absentee knights take the lead via positions 1 & 2, whilst popping back in line in the third position.

"I'll go in with you." Randall pats Petra on the shoulder. "We have come this far together, we will keep looking out for each other."
He uses a superiority dice to Rally Petra, granting 3 temp hp.

A massive pair of stone doors lies broken just south of this small plaza, flanking by iron torches that brightly illuminate the area. One door lists unevenly on its bottom hinge, and the other lies shattered on the ground. The standing door is carved with a pastoral scene of grain fields and rolling hills, worn and pitted by the centuries. A large, dimly lit hall waits beyond the broken gates. Arrow slits are carved into the west and east walls.
Sandre puts arm up, turns and whispers 'stop'.
"Kill holes.", pointing to the arrow slits. "If we get stuck fighting in that room. We are in deep trouble. We could run forward into the room beyond but we have no way of knowing what lies in there. It is too dark for my vision to make out that far in this light"
As Sandre says this you hear a loud thump and a snort. Those with dark vision can see the outline of something large in beyond the ruined gate.
You can make out a voice speaking in common, but not what it says. You then hear footsteps, and the voice amplifies itself: "Fire starves, water evaporates, wind passes, but earth remains forever".
Olaerys continues the beat down on the gargoyle on the ground. “Are you ok Shrek?” he calls out.

Melchor's spell ends the gargoyle facing Shrek as the rest finish off the helpless gargoyle under Olaerys' shield.
Combat done.
Shrek calls out from below "Ummmmmm, 'lo? Anyone up dere with rope and strength to pull ol' Shrek back up?"

Olaerys throws down a rope and holds on to the end, offers his help to Randall to pull Shrek up.
A wizard is never late, nor is he early, he arrives precisely when he means to.
It takes a little while as Shrek tries to pull himself up hand over claw but he manages to get back up to the bridge
Face bright red with exertion and embarrassment, all Shrek can mange to eek out is a thankful "Whew, tanks guys!"
Once everyone is safely across the bridge, and has dusted themselves off, Shrek will quietly lead them into the area marked B3 in the earlier map.

Sandre has a few light wounds, but Petra looks badly wounded.
Petra nods. "I am hurt but I can continue for now. I agree with Sandre; that area up ahead screams trap room. "
