"The changes the Constable made changed this town. Some hated it, but most weren't sad to see that pillar become useless." She glanced woefully in the direction of the pillar in the middle of town.
"Anyways, he's way off his nut tonight. Neva see him in this state before.
As you begin to approach the East gate, you see the outline of the Constable waiting in the gate archway. Standing about 5'10, you can see that he's of solid build. He's wearing an older studded tunic that comes down to mid-thigh, and the same leather pants he had on earlier. Across the shoulders looked like the fur of a wolf or bear. On his back he carried a small pack and in his right had he held a spiked mace. The mace had damage from a very long time of use. The dents and stains, as well as how a few of the spikes were slightly bent, gave the mace a more savage look that it would have had when it was new.
As you get near, you can see that he's older than he looked in the pub. The stark light of the gate torches exposing harder lines on his face than you could tell in the pub. His thick, dark hair was pushed back and and his beard was full, but trimmed neatly. His eyes were narrow and his expression was all business.
"I'm glad you came!"the Constable said with a somewhat relieved sound to his voice. "I was beginning to think that this was going to be a solo operation... again."He looks at each of you, as if he were trying to place where he might have seen you before. Nodding back towards the town he continued "These folks are farmers, tough as a rock, but not real keen on battle. You guys aren't from around here, I think introductions are in order. I'm Constable Gray - just "Talon Gray" out here in the wilds."

"Valmarir," Valmarir holds out a hand, "but you can call me Val." He smiles, his golden yellow eyes gleaming in the low light.
Talon extends his hand out to each of you as you introduce yourselves.
As Talon extends his hand out to Valmarir, you can almost see a grin on his face has he notices the color of your eyes.
OOC: I'll wait till a little later tonight to continue to give the others a chance to introduce themselves and interact with the Constable should they want to.

OOC: Sorry Teak- is there anything we could do that would allow you to hang in there with us?
OOC: Give me more time... <smiles> Thanks though....... Honestly, I do not think I can do it justice and frankly, I want to. People put in a lot of time and I just don't want to put something down in a hurry. In any event, I'll be more careful about accepting invitations. Didn't know what was involved.
Hope you are well...

You don't need to write long, extravagant posts or anything. Or even post multiple times daily. We all know people have lives and playing PbP is a bit different than RL so it can feel unnatural at times, especially with RPing. I would love for you to stick around until you try one combat encounter just to see if you're sure, but if you feel uncomfortable then we understand and don't want anyone to force themselves to doing something they don't enjoy. Whatever you decide is perfectly fine. Stop by in the casual RP Tavern thread if you'd like, either way.

Yea, Teak! I don’t want to pressure, but honestly I have to second what Necmo said.
It takes a little bit for a group to find its pace, and honestly I think I could have done a better job at directing that (I’m learning too!). I’d love for you to hang around through the first encounter and see if things even out for you.

OOC: No problem. It was cool, that you have tried it. And don't worry, you haven't slowed down anything. We are all people who have a real lifeand sometimes it takes a while before you can write here! I dont have a problem if you want to go on playing here with us :)

"I wouldn't have missed an adventure!" he smiles mischievously. "My name is Morgram. Morgram Steelfist. I came from a monk monastary. I hope i can help"
Morgram gets closer tot the Constable. "But can you tell me whats going on here? What is out there in the forest? Why are the people so scared?"

Rey chooses not to divulge his name right away, rather gives a nod and a firm shake of the paw as he looks him in the eye.

He then steps back, slides a hand under the back of his duster coat and unhinges his greataxe, throwing it over a shoulder.
